As my previous post I'm still waiting for the battery to die. I thought I had a problem with this too. I've been on Safari since the last photo. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1374881007.198167.jpg
Obviously not that bad after all :)

This is my second replacement phone and I seem to have noticed that the battery is somehow draining faster than the phone I had before this and I came seem to understand why since I'm using this phone the same way I have used the other one. I mostly text, play candy crush for like five to ten minutes, and some light browsing and I listen to music only when I'm on my way to work. Nothing too extreme. I also noticed the percentage going down by one every two or so minutes upon each use. I took his snapshot about ten minutes ago and the percentage is already down to 9%. Is this normal or do I need to make an appointment at apple?

How long ago did you get your replacement?
iPhone batteries need a few cycles until they last as long as they should.

I figured. I never had this problem with either of my previous phones, so I noticed this pretty quick since it's a big difference in battery drain. I don't expect the battery to be excellent, especially for a smartphone, I'm just hoping for it to not drain so fast. It's preventing me from using the phone as I should because I'm afraid of contributing to the drastic battery drain. Hmm, I've calibrated about a week after I got it, maybe I should try that again and see if it would fix it? If not, then I'm definitely gonna have to bring it into apple and have them test it.

Yes try to make it 0% to 100% 5 more times. If their is no change, try for a replacement.

My battery is great:)
99% with 50 min of usage. I have never had 100% last so long.

Yeah, I've done it a few more times and the problem still exists. I made an appointment at Apple for tomorrow so we'll see how that goes

Got mine replaced not because of battery but a rattly mute button which it turned out to be the camera lense. He said they all do it. My replacement does it too so a bit if a waste going to Apple. Anyway the new phone straight out the box at 60% was charged to 100% then it gave me 8hrs 33 mins useage and 1 day 4 hours standby. I've cycled it twice now and it's quite stable. On safari I'm using 1% every 5 mins so I think this is good so far. I was dreading the swap over because my other 5,s battery was good.

I don't know if this is much of an improvement but I still feel like my previous phone was able to last much longer than this. I went to the apple store and they said that the cause of my battery drain was because of certain apps crashing so I deleted said apps and did a hard restart. It made the battery drain a minute or two later than before but it's still draining and my battery is 100% healthy according to their diagnostics. I even did a restore and it's still the same.

I'm on this at the moment. Don't know if this phone is any better?
The usage is mainly on 3G in a poor signal area (as pic). 2hours and now at 55% is this better?
I'm sure my other 5 was better :(.

I would say this is pretty normal

I was in Devon recently, 3G only for the week. Full screen brightness and lots of 3G usage and 5 hours was about what I achieved.

At home with wifi and lower brightness it easily managed 8-9 hours.

5 hours higher brightness 3G and GPS is about right.

I'm on a quarter brightness.
10 text messages. 30 minutes on this forum. Bit on safari on wifi and the rest on Facebook wifi /3G.
No other things are on and I fetch email.
Also done 4 cycles of the battery.
EE is the carrier and they've gone downhill now for signal :( so that doesn't help.

If it makes you feel any better, I get around 5 - 5 and half hours on EE when using 3G only.

I get 8-10 hours when using WIFI only on a charge.

That is about right i'd say.

Thanks for that :)
Anyway I took it to Apple yesterday and he tested it and as usual it showed as being fine. He changed it for me as he could tell I was unhappy.
Lets see how number 3 phone does.

It's just EE lately. What use to be 3 bars signal, is now 2... 4 ..now 3 and so on. It all adds up over a day.

I've been in a full 3G signal area for an entire day and got 6 and half hours.

Yes I agree with you. EE are killing these batteries fast with they're very poor signal all the time. 1 or 2 bars whereas Orange used to be 4 or 5 bars.

love the way they make out that everyone is an isolated case. Every store I go into, and thousands of people all over the UK are complaining about EE now. Fine when it was Orange. If you're in the UK and are contemplating them, please do yourself a favour and stay well away. They are abysmal and I've had no signal/3G at home for 4 months now, where I'd had full signal for 15 years on Orange.
