iOS5 has already been revealed and didn't show widgets, news tickers, or weather. Why are you expecting that the phone would have it?

If so, then I am not coming back. It is almost 2012, the original iPhone was released back in 2007, and still is just a home screen that is an app drawer :( LOL lame already.

Heres a Google Sketchup model...

Things to note:
- This is my first time using Sketchup, so i havent quite figured out the texturing.
- Phones missing headphone jack, SIM, logo and a few minor things
- This is basically a mock up of my mock up.. lol. Ill work on an exact version when I have time

Sweet. Go all out and do a phone6. 6" screen on the same size. Yes, the screen goes 3d up above the surface ;)

OP, I made a few changes to your design, just things I thought were more realistic, like the flash and notification light being the same light. Hope you don't mind.

Personal preference. Having used android extensively and modded the iPhone 4 I am back to the stock "and boring according to some" grid icon layout for 4 months now and want it to stay that way.

As for widgets: I don't need a clock widget when my lockscreen and statusbar already show the time/date all the time, the facebook/twitter ones are useless to me as I am not checking those every hour, the music controls don't need a widget and News are easily read through an app when I feel like it.

In other words, what you may find great becomes "meh" for someone else. You got a choice, switch to another company if current one isn't matching your needs. That's the best way.

Wow! This looks awesome.
If the phone comes out to be similar to that, I would definitely be happy.

I like the overall look; it looks pretty spot on. That being said, I can't see the camera being located off to the side, or having a flash. Good job :)

Wow. If they put this on the market, I would buy it. No questions asked. Beautiful mockup. Although, I agree with most others - a front facing flash seems a little weird.

The only other little thing I would change if I could is it would be really cool to see a notification light built into the home button. Like others said before, that would be really unique and...awesome. Just pulse white or blue every few seconds...kind of like the way a Macbook light pulses when it's sleeping.

Anyway...your mockup is great. I want one. XD Keep up the great work.

What is the notification icon in the status bar with a message bubble and a number over it? Is that part of iOS 5? I thought there was no status bar icon. Or is this a jailbreak tweak or just part of the concept?

Thanks

Man I love the idea of this mockup. Having a LED for notifications is a great idea, and a larger screen (within the same actual phone dimensions) would be a bonus. I can't wait to see the actual product!

I really like it, especially the curved shape. A couple of things you could improve on:

1) Change the LED notification. I imagine it being white and slowly pulsate like when a MacBook is sleeping. Maybe consider putting it in the middle of the home button?

2) Make the front camera less 'obvious'. It just doesn't look that real.

Otherwise, great job!

Wow, this mockup looks incredible. I really hope the iPhone 5 looks like your mockup and not like the "counterfeit" ones being released in china that are believed to be the "real" design. I would buy yours in a heartbeat.

Looks kinda like this

I dunno, something about this design doesn't really sit right with me. I can't really place my finger on it, but I don't like this design that much.
