I LOVE how people call us 'fanboys' when 16.9% of the world is iOS, and Android has 68%. Mad because we love a solid, stable product that has updates?

Windows or Mac... Android or iOS...

Now imagine if there are more than 2 major players in a certain space.... like cars:

Ford
Chevy
Honda
Toyota
Chrysler
Kia
Volkswagen
Nissan
Subaru
BMW
Mercedes

Who do they call "fanboys" then?

Prices in Denmark 1176$+ contract, AUCH

Telia.dk anounced the first prices in Denmark for the 64 gb model it will be 1176$ +contrackt... no prices without contract, until now.

The first customers were greeted by staff cheering, clapping, chanting "iPhone 5! iPhone 5!" and high-fiving them as they were escorted through the front door.

Why? That's a bit sad, isn't it? I love Apple products, but, seriously...

I went to a carrier shop (in Germany) just to take a look at both models so I could finally decide which one to order. And **** me, they're both incedibly beautiful. The black one looks like a stealth fighter turned smartphone, the white one like a finely crafted precision watch. Which to choose, I still don't know...

Now THAT'S a long phone!

lol I drove past my local apple store and the line was unbelievable. Funny as the carrier stores next door did not have any long lines and they where also selling the new iPhones .

I guess some people just fit this stereotype.

I've got mine, 64gb black/slate. :D

Apple Store George Street Sydney made it very easy.

That's exactly what I ordered…but my delivery won't be here until later today…unless UPS decides to deliver at 4:00 AM which is what time it is right now. Doubtful. :) Enjoy your new phone!

Now, THAT is the monolith of Kubrick's 2001!
Soon to be arriving: Human 2.0

The so called "fanboys" still exist in the automobile world and I have seen them called the same exact thing. The market is usually narrowed down to regions such as American makes, European makes, Asian makes and so on. The Chevy supporters will call the Ford supporters fanboys and so on. It's really more of a term to help someone justify why another person disagrees with them on a product and pretty much nothing more.

With this many people queuing in lines I wonder how android fans convert every year.

I am guessing quite a few convert and there are also quite a few that leave and come back to iOS. There are really only a couple Android phones on the market that can compete and maybe one or two that can truly offer a similar user experience as far as regular software updates and features. Many Android phones play the multiple month waiting game when a new software is released as the phone manufacture adds their bloatware and decides when to roll it out to each model of phone they offer. And it is not uncommon for a year old phone to no longer receive new OS updates.

Mine was waiting for me when I got home. Fortunately the courier allowed my 9 year old daughter to sign for it. The box had already been turned into a diorama.

I'm amazed how much easier it is to reach the corners of the screen than on my 3GS. That change in thickness makes SO much difference.

I live in Hong Kong and I do think the cheering was a touch over-the-top. Thank goodness I was at work and only just picked up my iPhone 5 from them.

Although, even though Apple put a great reservation lottery in place to help cut down on people buying tons of phones and selling them for a higher profit, there was still a line of people outside the Apple Store in Hong Kong trying to buy people's brand new iPhone 5 at a profit. Probably so they can turn around and sell it for even more money.

Telstra LTE wow

Dudes, I have to say I'm stunned by the LTE Performance.

I didn't even expect it to work properly in Australia, but I did a speedtest.net and got over 28Meg download and 26Meg upload speed.

I was blown away, as that's faster than the best copper connection I've ever had in my office or home.
