Have you tried resetting it? Hold the power button + home button until it reboots. Once you see the Apple logo, let go of the buttons.

See if that helps.
ihave tried this with buttons but logo comes up nd all gone black...so what to do

Try plugging the iPhone into the wall charger and then hold down the Power and Home buttons at the same time until the apple appears on the screen and then release both buttons at the same time. M

my iphone 5 was fell and immediately blank..then now i'm try to charging then it can turn on but still not showing anything ..iknow it's turning on becuse my side ip have a bit gap so i can see the lights on..so wht can i do?

I solved the problem by simply plugging in my earphone.

My iphone 5 was on and when I switched to vibrating mode it vibrated. But the screen was just not lightning up. Interestingly the screen was on when I plugged in my earphone... Don't know whether it's coincidence or not
