Am I the only one who prefers the weight of the iPhone 4/4S?

I've held off on ordering the iPhone 5 for a bit, but have now had a chance to play with one at the Apple Store.

The iPhone 4 just feels so much more substantial and solid to me...and I like that. That bit of heft is actually comforting and reinforces the quality of the phone to me every time I pick it up.

The new phone just feels way too light. Kind of gives it a cheap feel. But I guess it'll probably grow on me.

Any thoughts from those upgrading from the 4/4S?

It's been less than a day. Get one and get used to it and I bet you won't want to go back.

youre really complaining about the weight?
it feels solid and is light.
its a good thing...

River, cry one for me. :p <- that means I am kidding.

If you think that is too light pick up an SGS3! That thing feels like paper.

the heavier it is the harder its gonna drop, so being lighter would cause less damage.
sounds good to me.:)

I love the feel of the new one.

(EDIT: I'm just going to do it to myself....that's what she said. :))

I think it just takes a bit of getting used to. It was much lighter than I expected, but feels nicely constructed and of excellent quality. I think some people felt the same way when going from the iPad 1 to the iPad 2, but after a couple days you adjust.

The amount of people moaning about such petty things

It's too light
The screen is too tall
The screen isn't wide enough
I don't like the back

Cheer up, you only live once

People complain about literally everything. Macrumors should shut down for a week after launch date.

Actually didn't mean to have my post come off as a complaint at all. Just more of an initial opinion after holding the new one for the first time and am curious as to others thoughts about it.

As mentioned on another post, I've been used to the heft of the 4 for a long time now, but I'm sure I'd get used to the lighter weight relatively quickly.

I agree with you. I liked the weight of the 4s.. made it feel substantial.

I'm sure that I'll get used to this one too and then a 4s will feel like a brick.

Lightness is a big improvement to me. iP4's always seemed too heavy when I picked it up.

But I'm a backpacker and cyclist so I'm always looking to cut weight. :)

It almost feels hollow.
