But I was watching the release in Apple Store New Zealand, and it was launched at 01.00 local time NZ Apple Store: http://store.apple.com/nz/browse/home/shop_iphone/family/iphone

So I guess it will be launched at 01.00 local time in all countries with launch today

Yes, but if they want to release them all at the same time, and release them all on the 28th, they'd have to wait for the furthest country behind to cross over to today.

Funnily enough. my iPhone 4 is still running fine. That's why I couldn't be bothered to stand in-line this year. But I want to order among the first so I get it this side of the new year.

I think I speak for everybody when I say I'm getting so tired of "Coming Soon" every time I refresh, for the last few weeks.

It will be the exact same for the other 22 countries ordering online.

We will have the 3-4 week wait as well. Get over it.

The fact still stands that I, a preorder customer, will have to wait longer than both domestic and international customers is just plain ridiculous.

3-4 weeks? That's at least a full week shorter than what I have to wait for!
Not to mention these unexplainable delays, which people peg on the "manufacturers" when clearly they have enough surplus for the 10-4 reserve pickup program!

The U.S have their batch. The European countries have their batch. And they have a batch for reserve pickups and refurbs. That's how it works. Deal with it.
