Doesn't anyone find this sad? people literally camping out for a phone... Don't get me wrong I'm updating my 3Gs to a 32 iPhone 5 because I think its pretty damn slick but I also "need" a new phone. My phone has been over to Afghanistan 3 times and survived garrison in the Marine corps since it was released however I think I can wait a for my pre-order to get here and still be ok.

I don't find it sad as such, to each their own and it's up to a person what they do with their time. In my younger days when I was a real gaming nerd, I would do the midnight launches for new consoles, but personally I'd rather take launch day off work, pre-order online, and sit at home watching Sky Sports News with a cup of coffee and wait for the delivery truck to arrive.

Heh, I still think it's crazy how so many people do this. I understand waiting a few hours if it's something you really want, but these people camp for days. Are they using sick days or what? It's not like you can't just preorder and have it sent to your doorstep on day one.
You'll find that these lines began, at most, yesterday. No one's camped out for days. I hear there's around 80-100 people at the Glasgow store in Buchanan Street, and the queue began forming around dinner time last night.
