iPhone 5 Lines Lengthening as First Launches Approach

With the "unemployment rate" and world economy tanking, I'm surprised people are waiting inline [again] for another iPhone release. Makes you wonder about the priorities of some people.

Uhhh did you see the direction of Apple's stock?

Not everyone is doing horrible. Some industries are rock solid.
Some people save money for gadgets and gizmos. Yeah a good few might be rockin the credit card but maybe they sold their old ones for a profit? who knows their story.

I would have been out there as well, if only Apple would sell UNLOCKED phones at retail locations in Canada :mad:
 
I'd love to see a real re-enactment of the Sams ad tomorrow culminating in a mutual acknowledgment of the folly of such passive-aggressive jostling at the behest of multibillion dollor corporations while we retire back into our humdrum existence where the developing first scuffs on the anodized designs begin to literally chip away the seductive aura guiding us to this moment. Awareness that my valued sense of logic and integrity have been breached is met with rage as I deliver the phone against the wall with astonishing force, instantly collecting the pieces on my hands and knees and carrying that precarious teared-regret of a recurrent domestic abuser.
 
I didn't get to preorder a 32GB Black AT&T iPhone 5 from Best Buy before they cut off preorders, so I was put on a waiting list (I was first on the list).

Apparently they got in 10 of them, and they only had 8 preorders for that model, so I just got a confirmation email saying that my phone was in and ready for pickup tomorrow morning at 8AM. No waiting in line at a carrier store for me! :cool:
 
Why do people wait at the Apple stores? I'm waking up at 6:00am and heading to Verizon. Even if there is a line, I am confident there will be enough stock to shell out to the early birds. Now if I waited all day of work and went after work, that may be another story.
 
I get enjoying a new tech toy. I do.
But these lines...I really hope these folks all do lots of volunteer work since they have so much time on their hands.

What do you buy that sets you apart? Do you have a one of a kind ,hand made phone? computer? car? or do you buy mess products like the rest of us.

I bet yours a cheap plastic phone, cheap plastic PC, cheap Yugo :D

I'm going to the sprint store which is opening early to avoid the lines. But I don't see why soo many people on this message board sit in judgement of others.

If someone wants to go stand in line all night then more power to them. People work and bust their ass working and they have a right to spend their time and money on what they want

What I would love to see instead of an unboxing

some of you fanboys make the jokes wayyyyy too easy and its your own fault.
