Yes, but remember how Apple keeps things to alluminum? Their macbook shells are made out of alluminum, which has a matte finish on them, Instead of glass, The new iPhone could be alluminum, in relation to the macbook finish (on the inside of the macbook)

To be honest, Apple wouldn't do anything without a valid reason so I'll be happy with whatever design they chose.

Of course! I would too, but this seems plausible that this could be reality and the other leaks, all not true.

Just can't deny the amount of 2 tone iPhone leaks we've had.
This 'leak' just contradicts about 3-4 months worth of leaks.

Maybe I'm being over critical over this supposed prototype but the leaf in the apple logo sits to close to the apple compared to the iPhone 4.

Also the home button doesn't seem well constructed or flush with the device.

Personally I don't trust it, but it's made me more curious and excited for the 12th.
And the display is too 'bright' compared to the iPhone 4S. It seems to have a much lower contrast. It almost seems like a 4-inch iPhone 3GS display turned off.

Translation..............

Well, it well marré with video of the iPhone 5 Israeli but it is time for us to return to more serious things, in the vein of those that we have unveiled during the last two weeks. So, are you that a young American man claims to be in possession of a genuine new iPhone prototype...

The shadow of a fake as always at the top of photos and video that follow but the latter are frankly convincing, very convincing even. Chris that we have received this prototype of iPhone 5 on the part of an anonymous source will even turn on the mysterious device known as the famous reference XXXXX. Problem, our friend would not be in possession of the new sync cable and is therefore not in a position to pass the stage of registration of the aircraft...

Several details are forcing me to take back to this so-called iPhone prototype 5 starting with its screen whose colour suggests that it is a slab of poor quality which does not correspond to the level of requirement which has accustomed us Apple. Then, whether in pictures or video, the new connector is at no time clearly visible, a little as if Chris knew this detail could betray him... In addition, two lacquered bands that were placed on the top and bottom of all the assumed to cockles of iPhone 5 on which we have the hand are absent from the back of this mysterious model. Finally, on the screen that glows briefly at the end of the video, and even if the illusion is perfect, the display of the message can easily have numerically simulated to final assembly.

Then Yes, all these details can if explain that we are supposed to be about a prototype and despite my doubts, I want to believe that this mysterious device is indeed a genuine new iPhone prototype...

Also you can't see any of the antenna bands like on the 4/4s, maybe this is just a really good fake...

Probably an early prototype. In addition to the points already raised, it doesn't have screw holes in the bottom, and the volume buttons and mute switch are positioned higher than in the two-tone leaks.

This one is clearly made out of polycarbonate. On top of having a seamless, good looking shell, it will also allow NFC.

What makes this leak more plausible then all the others? The fact that u like it better, doesn't count. This is a bad fake. Anyone who thinks its real, is out of their mind. A solid metal unibody just wont work correctly. Period.

Not to mention its totally blah, lacks character, and is ugly.

And also just look at the seams around the display and home button. It's laughable.

Edit: Too late...

I suspect that this new leak is simply an old prototype.
Why would they go with a stainless steel band with no black gaps indicating that there is an antenna?
And to top it off, the back of the 'new leak' seems to be metal which interferes with signal as well.
I still think the two toned back is the final leak.

Especially the LED flash on the back. Why would apple decide on such a fail design for the LED flash? It seems so ugly!

I really like the look of this, whether it's real or not. It's so much nicer than the two tone we've been seeing.

However, I don't believe it's real. The body is so dark around all the ports, you don't seem to see any internals. I suppose somebody could have inatalled an older iPhone into this to make it look like it was powering up.

This is (hopefully) definitely a fake. For (un)certain.

Seeing as how the new device should be revealed in the coming weeks, I say it's time we give these unverifiable rumors a rest.

If we see this same design leak again in the next couple of weeks, it will really make things interesting.

Impressive that the thing actually powers on.

I think it's a legit "prototype" (which is what the guy claims it is in the video).

Production models are rarely identical to prototypes, so what's in the video most likely won't be what goes on sale. For that reason, I call "real" but a concept test, not the final product.
