iPhone 5 Not Actually Launching in June?

June was one of those too good to be true things anyway. I've been so jealous of my wife's iPhone4 that I really wanted it to be true so I could jump ahead of her.

It took very little for me to get my first iPhone (the 4). The iPod Touch was the gateway drug for me, and the iPhone is pure crack.
 
Prediction June 2011 Release for iPhone 5

My prediction is a June 2011 release for iPhone 5. We should not forget all the rumors regarding the release of iPad 2. There were so many rumors flying that the iPad 2 had problems and they were going to delay it. When Steve Jobs announced that the iPad 2 was shipping 10 days after they announced it everyone was shocked! Steve even played off the fact that there were all these rumors about major delays.

So that leads me to my prediction...iPhone 5 release is going to be in June of 2011.
 
Apple better make sure they have the iPhone 5 made correctly to be in current competition due to the fact that LG has a glasses free 3D phone.

I doubt that's the reason for the delay. In fact, I doubt there's been a delay at all. But it's certainly possible that they opted to release the iPhone 4 on Verizon earlier this year because they knew all along that they were going to be holding the iPhone 5 until late Q3/Q4 2011 (calendar, not fiscal).

And as long as they were doing this to make LTE feasible, all shall remain right in the world.

I think it's too soon to know that Apple isn't going to do an iOS 5 preview this month.
 
Im still holding out for a June release. it makes no sense to break the dev cycle. Unless the earthquake in japan has caused setbacks, in which case Apple wouldn't be the only company pushing back releases.
Hopefully we'll see the release of Lion and iOS 5 at WWDC and the release of the new iphone shortly after (2weeks?)

False based on what? This would put this newest rumor into context and put a value on it's validity.

At least the June rumor was based on something (true or false) the Korean telcom leak.
 
Anyone coming out with a rumor at this point is getting page hits and notoriety. That includes loop insights. Apple is well known for false leaks. We won't know when it will launch until WWDC happens.
 
Here's my prediction

The iPhone 5 will be found in a bar in Silicon Valley the last week of June. The phone will be released to the public in September.
 
Mmm and these are the guys who said the ipad2 wasn't coming until the fall.

Bets on for an iphone5 this May/June.

Still think they will refresh it in early May to create a buzz and energise the iOS developer community at WWDC.

iPhone 4s: New A5 processor/graphics, 4" screen, 32/64Gb, white/black.

"The best smartphone in the world just got a little better".

They don't need a radical new design as the current design is only a year old and it's been selling well. Just needs a refresh to keep it ahead of all the new smartphones coming out at the moment.

Well I for one have made up my mind. iPhone4 is a great device, and I've been waiting on an iPhone since I saw the first iPod. I'm getting one this week. I'll just upgrade to iP6.
 
I can say with 100% surety that there is a 50% chance the iPhone 5 will be released in June and a 50% chance that the iPhone 5 will not be released in June.

Well, all of this back-and-forth on the rumor mill is fun...

...except for the "fun" part.

If Apple puts out a phone in June, great. I'd love to have it.

If they wait until September or later, I'll likely spend a couple of years with my friend Android, and see what Apple is doing in 2013.

Either way, the iPhone 3G is driving me nuts, and my contract is up for renewal in 24 days, so I don't plan to wait TOO long to upgrade.

if this is true, its probably due to parts delay from japan after the quake
