You wouldn't happen to be a fan of the TV show "Fringe", would you?
iPhone 5 is launching in June, and iPhone 6 shortly thereafter in July, in a parallel universe.
iPhone 5 has been scheduled to be released by the end of August. The decision was made when Verizon iPhone went into mass production last year.
Don't know. Don't care. I have an iPhone 4.
word from their sources that the iPhone 5 will not launch in June.Previous reports have suggested a Fall or even later product release.
Your eyes can easily adjust to different text (or icon) sizes, as can your mouse or trackpad movement translater (moving your mouse x mm causes the cursor to move y mm). Which is what is needed if you use a display with a different dpi. They could have a 4.5" 1280 x 720 screen without changing the dimensions if they went all the way to the edge (widthwise). I guess they won'tthat's not double the current resolution, and apparently phones can't adjust like every computer does?
Apple better make sure they have the iPhone 5 made correctly to be in current competition due to the fact that LG has a glasses free 3D phone.
I was in the same boat with my 3G... needed an upgrade and my contract was up in Feb. I was waiting for the 5 release this summer. Well my 3G had other ideas...it died 2 weeks ago. But there is HOPE:
I got my hands on "loaner" 3G (brothers old 16GB 3G). I charged the phone, and after finding out from AT&T (on-line representative chat) I took the "loaner" phone (16 GB 3G) and the they activated for free. Of course, I tried on my on before and it said I had to activate a new line...
My suggestion: Try to get your hands on a 3GS or even 3G that somebody isn't using... Take it in to AT&T and ask them to activate under your number with your SIM (because your phone is dead)...

My "newer" 3G is fine and works great after restore, and new software update.
This is my Hope...sorry to disappoint- This won't help everybody (those who have no access to these phones) but for those like me, it will make another couple months much more bearable before the "newest" iPhone comes out.
It would make sense to launch the iphone 5 in september along with the new ipod range and possible an ipad 2.5/3 that way they would have all the iOS devices coming out at them same time. So they could make 1 specific to the lastest hardware all at once.
I'm pissed because I'm on Verizon without an iPhone waiting for 5 to come out a few months after 4. Now I have to wait till the damn fall to get it?
Apple has already said that a preview is not coming until June (I doubt they are planning two preview events)
Tough crowd here.
"Apple sucks. It's iPhone and iPod 24/7. Mac gets now Love. Blah, blah blah."
"What! No iPhone Summer '11. An Apple organized developers conference focusing on Mac OS X. I'm pissed."

You really think that Verizon will release an iPhone 5 four months after they released the iPhone 4? That'll never happen!
Well MacRumors. If you take both sides of the issue, you can't be wrong.
The iPhone 5 may or may not launch in June, everyone!
