For some reasons, 4/4S does not look Apple to me. It looks either IBM/Renovo to me.

I like IBM/Renovo's design but they are somewhat emotionless.

The main guy behind 4/4S was a IBM pull ("antenna gate") who Jobs fired after all.

I think 4/4S is Tim Cook's baby.

iPhone 3GS design IMO will always look better than the odd rectangular shaped iPhone 4. I would take the 3GS over my 4S any day because of design factor if my provider allowed it (Verizon).

Apple takes a year to re-release the iPhone 4 with a stretched screen and a horribly outdated processor while newly introducing a new pin connector. :p

Goes to show how Apple is falling down a very very steep hill. Now a mini iPad. Really Apple??? :p :p :p

Sure, the 3GS is a nice design, but I don't miss the cheap plasticky feeling and poor fit and finish (typical with plastic cases). Being fat and lighter didn't help either.

Oh, I'm not insecure at all!

I'm an engineer, and appreciate the engineering effort that goes into the incredible devices from which we can choose. What we're doing these days is absolutely incredible.

All I'm saying, is that just because you feel a certain way about something, does not make it fact.

People will always complain and talk trash about something because the company who makes it doesn't make it exactly how that person likes it.

Poor little special snowflakes. ;)

I'm not sure if it is "falling down on a steep hill" but definitely starting to show
some difference after Jobs is gone. I think Tim Cook's influences started to
dominate from 4/4S time already. It's slowly becoming less interesting.
 
I find complaining with my Wallet more effective then griping on message board.

But then again for some that makes way too much sense I suppose.

yes burn, you claim his "argument" is invalid yet yours is based on opinions... you are just as much "invalid" as him..

horribly outdated processor? you dont even know what the new iphone is going to have/be...

apple has been gaining in stocks and sales.. i dont really think that is "down hill"

also.. the ipad mini is only rumored. So you are basing that statement on your opinion of two devices that havent been confirmed or even announced.. nice logic! :rolleyes:

I don't have any yet.

Like most rational people, I'll wait until it's formally announced, so I can decide for myself if it's worth taking a closer look at.

Then, like most rational people, I'll go and actually try it out, see if it fits my specific needs.

And finally, like most rational people, then I'll form an opinion about it.

I'm sure there will be people who love it, and I'm sure there will be people who hate it. As of right now, I have no idea how I'll feel about it, because there's nothing from which to make an informed decision.

Getting all worked up about something that is, for right now, vaporware, is kind of silly.
 
Why does everyone here get into an argument, about something as silly as a new phone.

Look, the phones not out now so their is no official information on the next phone, so before bashing a phone which is not even out or at least announced take a moment to think that you are arguing over something that dosent officially exist yet.

Hardly vaporware. It's pretty darn certain what the new phone is going to look like, both inside and out. We've also got a pretty good look at the new OS. Sure, there will be surprises (we hope), but we pretty much know what we'll be getting already.

The only big mystery is what Apple is going to do with the extra vertical screen space.

Rationally speaking, that is.

Okay.

1. I'm well aware the new iPhone hasn't been released. I'm basing off the strongest leaks and rumors, aswell as the recently rumored iPad mini. Thanks though.

2. The new iPhone will most likely have a dual core processor. This is and will be highly outdated.

Again, I'm basing this off the rumors, which EVERYONE talking about the new iPhone is doing, even if it's "your opinion".

Here's a little tease that both sport Quad Core processors ;)

Competition. Its what makes companies better. Look at Ford, chevy and dodge.
Honda, datsun (nissan) etc. have all pushed the American car companies to produce a better automobile - quality, warranties etc.

I think that the most of the complaints you are hearing about the iPhone (this time) are because companies like Samsung and HTC, have done allot of things many iPhone owners (myself included) would like to see in their phone. Its competition. Its actually good for the consumer.

I only HOPE that Apple doesn't expect dedicated iPhone/Apple owners to keep following their products they sell - whatever it is, just because its Apple, and hope that THAT is whats going to keep them #1.


I've decided to take a break from the iPhone this time (since 07) and go with the S3. I REALLY wanted a wider phone, and regardless of the few things Ive heard about Samsung (all of the samsung products Ive ever owned, have been stellar - including phones back in 03'-07') the S3 is what I've bought. Ultimately, it came down to wider screen. Landscape message board text entry just stinks on the current width iPhone - and dont think that will get better anytime soon.

Anyway, I think you are hearing more griping about THIS release - even though not 100% proven - because of the competition hearing about what consumers want and (for the iPhone dedicated) - cant have. Someone will ALWAYS make it. Thats competition.

The taller iPhone4 known as the iPhone5, looks absolutely ridiculous and silly. Looks like a Hershey's candy bar. Oh wow, so now, it will allow a 6th row of app icons LOL, amazing Apple will pass this off as all new and magical, and the Sheep will buy it in droves still.

iOS6 still looks so outdated, like from 2007, no widgets yet, no LED notification light, like BlackBerry has had for years. No live app icons like Windows Phone 8. The OS still has that lame Fischer Price toy theme It's a kiddy phone.

Now they make the iPhone 4 a hair taller, and razor thin, but no bigger battery. Why not keep it the same thickness as the iPhone4, but stuff in a much larger battery ?

And these leaks for the iPhone5 have been everywhere this Summer. How will Tim Cook surprise us, when he reveals the phone millions of us have seen already. Doubling down on secrecy, LOL.

I will eat my words, if Apple reveals a truly original design, like 4.3" screen, with a shape no one has a leak of yet, but highly doubtful.
