What amazes me is when the patent lawsuits fire up these devices are referred to as just "rounded rectangles" and we're told that there's only so many ways to design a phone/tablet. Yet when Apple comes out with a new product and it isn't radically redesigned people complain and say Apple isn't innovating.

Best smartphone on the market? By looks or by function? I will make it easy on you, I can agree with you just solely based on looks... but we don't by a smartphone for look, now do we? ;)
Well apparently plenty of people do otherwise there wouldn't be all this b**ching about the new phone looking too much like the previous one. Is it really that important for people that everyone knows they're using the latest and greatest phone?

To me in a sense the look is part of a smartphone's function, and by look i mean the form factor. I love iPod Touch because how easily it slips into my pocket and the iPhone 5 is considerably smaller than iPhone 4 in volume, which means it will be much easier to carry around despite having a slightly larger screen. That added portability is a big plus in functionality in my book.

On the other hand the new iPod Touch is just astoundingly thin and it has iPhone 4S like internals with a very decent camera and the new improved screen. I know it is not possible but that form factor with 3G/LTE antenna would be my dream device.

And what about the
iPad Mini: A6 or A5X

No idea. I suspect it'll be the same processor as the iPad2 (A5).

However, I can not fathom where the iPad mini will fit in the product line. At $199, it'll be the same price as the old 4th-gen iPod Touch. So that makes no sense.

At $299, it had better have the A6 chip if they want it to compete with the Nexus 7.

At $399, forget it. The only logical price point seems to be around $249 to be in line with other 7-inch tablets.

At $249, it's cheaper than the 5th generation iPod Touch, so why would somebody spend more money to get a Touch? The main difference is that the base iPod Touch (5) has 32GB memory. Maybe the iPad Mini will have 8GB/16GB.

cant wait to get my iphone 5, currently using a gs3 but still prefer ios and apples build quality, whats everyones choice of color? ive gone for the white/silver
