Snappy! Watching that movie, the speed is extremely impressive.

Funny how people get so excited about a big increase in speed for macs but seem to ignore it when it happens on iPhone.

Holy

Man, between LTE, maps and the speed, this thing is a no brainer for me.... I have to work quickly a lot of times.... my 4S is lagging in what I need (Changing apps etc) but this thing is SUPER quick. I will be up at 12am this evening/tomorrow morning.

Who's with me!?

Well,

I think what Apple have done is pretty amazing. People complaining about the upgrades to the hardware and feeling underwhelmed should look at what Samsung did when they upgraded the SII to the SIII.

Although the design is quite similar, it's still the best looking phone on the market and the proportions are just right.

Yea great insight the s3 also got thicker! People wake up! IPhone 5 is faster thinner and beautiful and it gets the job done without over complicating things!!
:apple: iPhone 5 is GREAT! But, to each its own!!

So it's a bit faster, a bit thinner and a bit bigger. And everyone is foaming at the mouth. Why?

Battery life is roughly the same...bad *admittedly this isn't unique to Apple, but a larger and heavier phone with double the talk time would be far more beneficial to me.

If you're willing to take the hit on thickness and weight, just get yourself a case with a battery. You'll get your longer talk time *and* get to choose from a few models for stylistic options. I took that option for the few times I knew I was going to be away from power sources back with my 3Gs. (I haven't needed to worry about it yet with my 4s.)

What are they talking about when they try loading a webpage and say it's downloading really fast? Looked incredibly slow to me!

If only...

I feel this way too. I would have prefered an anodized white back, or a grey phone.

anodized white would have looked good but I don't think aluminum can be anodized white, at least not on the scale needed here. White colors can be achieved but are very sensitive to variances in the underlying metal and the colors tend to be inconsistent. :(

First, who is foaming at the mouth, exactly?

Second, they do deserve credit for an impressive launch. They're improved basically every single aspect of the device. And yet are selling it at the same price as the most recent model. What's not to like about that?

Didn't Apple have problems with the white iPhone 4? I seem to remember long delays. I can only imagine how that would be if they tried to make this aluminum back white.

somehow I have gone from not liking (actually, totally hating) all of the leaks to really liking the finished product. The black version looks stunning (in my opinion), and I don't know if its the finish out on the back and siding or what.

Of course it would be great to see something 'groundbreaking' in terms of design every 2 years, but was it really necessary this time around given the strides made in design from the 3G/3Gs to 4/4S?

In a separate, but scotch-related incident, I managed to crack the screen of my 4 for the 3rd time the other night. It will not be fixed this time. It served me well but fate has spoken and its time to move on.

People are only disappointed because they want to see a complete redesign every year.

You can only do so much to the design. If the design is already the best R&D has to offer, why do people expect apple to come up with some magical new design out of their arse every year. People aren't realistic at all.

People are so focused about it looking similar to the iphone 4/4S that they forget the actual amount of engineering to required to make this phone. Nearly 20% thinner yet twice as fast with MORE battery life?

The rMBP looks exactly like a uMBP except thinner. How long has the unibody MBP design been around? There is no need to redesign the thing if the design is already the most advanced design money can buy with R&D.

2X faster CPU: compared toA5 or A5X

Compared to the previous generation iPhone, which is the A5.

So in theory, the new A6 has the same GPU performance as the A5X, but better CPU performance.

The next iPad will use, maybe, an A6X with even greater CPU performance to drive the big retina display?

And what about the
iPad Mini: A6 or A5X

I am a businessman and you cannot use "business" and "cool" in the same sentence. Thanks.

Image is everything
also in business...
I assume, your an average businessman with a average income and too much to do.
I am successful and have the time to sit with my legs on the desk while the money comes flowing and i have the time to take care of my image and style :apple:

It hasn't launched yet. It sets no new standards and is a marginal update to the last two iPhones. The price has been the same for each new version for a few years, just as it is with most other phones.

The best smartphone on the market has arrived. Truly a dismal day for Apple's competition.

"It's really easy to make a product that's bigger, everyone does that." (Phil Schiller - September 12, 2012)

I am ready to pre-order mine at 12:01 AM. :apple:

Best smartphone on the market? By looks or by function? I will make it easy on you, I can agree with you just solely based on looks... but we don't by a smartphone for look, now do we? ;)
