iPhone 5 Reservation at Apple Store

Just snagged one via Apple.com to pick up at my local store. had to open a 4th new line to get it. My 3rd line is a pre-order thru AT&T, so when it comes I can cancel it right?? It was just taking to long to arrive via ATT.

I sure hope the info the AT&T guy gave me is correct, when my ordered one arrives in a few weeks I can cancel that line and return that iphone....:rolleyes:
 
I just reserved 2 64GB Black on Verizon at 2 separate stores here in Houston. I'll get them both tomorrow.
I could locate a 32 GB phone or white phone, so i'll live with these. :)

got a black iPhone 5 32gb Verizon at Valley Fair store, Santa Clara, Calif.

this is my second one, interestingly my last one was last Friday night, and I was unable to get one other days this week. Maybe Apple stores get more stock on Fridays to be ready for the weekend?

same dilemma i'm currently having.

every Apple store had a 32GB ATT white tonight, but I'm really feeling the black. so torn :\

I actually returned my white to an apple store yesterday evening because I really wanted the black. I was hoping I'd get lucky and get through the reservations in a day or two and I'm thankful I did.
 
I tried every night this past week on the apple store online for a Sprint white 32gb iphone 5 and had no luck whatsoever for the Bay Area. I started calling around at the radio shacks and started putting myself on the wait lists at all the local ones. One store told me they would be getting some on Friday. Come Friday no calls so i started calling around again. They hadn't come in yet...and was told pre-orders first and if there's extras the wait list would be next. Went to Target to do some shopping and decided to stop by the mobile section in Electronics. The guy told me that he was expecting a sprint white 32gb next Tuesday and if I wanted it was mine. Gave him my name and number and told me he'd call when it arrived! Score!...until I got home and got a phone call from the radio shack in napa. They were calling ppl on the wait list cuz they received a shipment and they had the phone I wanted! Told them I'm on my way! So here I am on my new iphone 5! Which reminds me I have to call target and tell the guy I found one. Hehe. So ppl try your local radio shacks, targets, and walmarts! One Walmart I called had a Verizon black 16gb but unfortunately it wasn't what I wanted and not my carrier! Anyway Good luck everyone!!

congrats man. I spent every day this week as well cold calling every single at&t, apple, radioshack, walmart, target stores to no avail. I figured I had a better shot returning mine and hoping for the best with the reservations.

i guess i'll remain hopeful haha. it seems like the stores near me never have the 32GB in black.

the stores near me had no black period. the few that had any at all, were all white.
santa monica had black this morning at 9am but were gone by the time they opened at 10
 
Anybody reserve their phone at a store that's opening at 10am? When do you think we'll get the pickup email? Got work at 12 and want to get it beforehand. Worried they won't hold it past 24 hours. Don't want to take a chance loosing it after waiting a week.

I got the "We're ready for you" email around 8-9AM. You won't lose the phone. You've already paid for it so it will be held until you pick it up.
 
Do I have to go over to the AT&T store to cancel the line I opened after I pick up my phone at Apple store in the AM? I opened a 4th line on the Apple website to snag a next day in store pick up. So now I need to cancel my order thru AT&T (3rd line, pending order).....

Also the rate plan the website made me choose says $85/mo. I am just adding it to my family plan so it should be only $9.99/mo. Weird....hope this all works out

there was actually a store an hour away from me on thurs. (via reservation apple.com) I am beating myself up for not taking it that's why i'm gonna wait it out for 1 more week.

The confirmation email comes right away. The ready for pickup email will come in the morning
 
Just curious... For those of us that bought one tonight, does this mean that the phones are already likely in the stores or did they sell them to us based on what thet expect to receive in an order tomorrow?

I talked to a Apple rep today in store and he said they receive shipments each day and therefore that is what your attempting to get ahold of each night at 10pm!
