iPhone 5 Reservation at Apple Store

With the "in Stock" stuff, does that mean that if it doesnt say in stock on the app that we wont be able to reserve/pickup iphones at those stores?
It's sad that I should be in bed right now catching some zzzz. And my kids would rather be awake playing the upgrade for World of Warcraft but can't because of school!

We will know in about 8 minutes. This is when stock refreshes apparently for the stores. The in stock stuff we are seeing right now is most likely from today.

FWIW there is stock showing at a local store here, but I was at that store this evening and they had nothing. So I don't know that it's necessarily showing current stock from today.
Agreed. You told me it showed no AT&T's available, and just as it happens today my store received a shipment without AT&T phones.
I expected it to be the stock left over from today, and then it would "refresh" at 1. Ill be crossing my fingers and praying that all stores have a fresh stock for tomorrow. Im sure all of us really want out iphones.

ditto... worst part is I ordered @ 8am the next morning and AT&T somehow managed to screw that too... now am stuck 3-4 weeks... ugghhh
That's exactly what happened to me. Ordered at 5:30 am, AT&T screwed up, I canceled the order.
So there is no way to reserve a phone without existing service or signing up for new service? I'm looking into getting Verizon phones device-only, we're out of the country for a couple of months, so want the verizon phone for maximum LTE bands coverage, and when we move back to get service on Verizon san contract.
