In the UK, I put in a reservation at 9:00 am yesterday (the time the system becomes active). Got an email at 7ish last night saying I could pick up between 10 am and 5 pm today, which I'm currently doing :)


Did they let you open the box to inspect before purchasing ?

You know where I'm going with this !
 
My store didn't have any iPhones available for pickup :(
The app store said the inventory is being updated at 10 pm again tonight. So im going to try again, and hopefully I can get one.
 
quick question for those that reserved last night for pickup today in store, did you see the charge on your credit card overnight/this AM before you picked it up? I wasn't sure if this showed as a temporary charge, a full charge, or for some reason wasn't 'processed' until you pick it up in hand (even though its already paid for online).

The charge appeared as a pending authorization today while I was in the store to pick up.
 
It's 10 local time, so just check it then. If you couldn't reserve it, it means there weren't stores that had it in-stock.

This is incorrect. The 'Buy Now' button was "live" according to your computer's clock. This was confirmed last night.

The actual 'In Store Pick-up' went live last night at 1am EST/10pm PST. However, you never know if they changed it for today.
 
Thinking about reserving one tonight. Does buying it from apple.com make you lose the grandfathered plans? I have a single plan (NOT SHARED) and I don't want to lose it. :confused:

If you don't make changes to your plans, once you add the phone to your cart (before you check out) you will actually see the plan that your phone is currently on. If it doesn't look right just cancel the order. I saw no issues with my phone and the unlimited plan.
 
I do see pick up radio button enabled, but i don't see any iphone available around Philadelphia area, any one see availability?
 
hopefully tonight it goes live at 10pm local time and not 10pm pst again...
and hopefully the stores around me got some stock!
 
Round 2 ... Didn't have any success last night, so lets hope it works tonight.

Improvement right off the bat ... I can actually CLICK on the Pickup radio button.
 
YES!!! Success! I reserved a 32 GB White AT&T at the Cube on 5th Avenue. FINALLY.
 
Took a few minutes for the ones near me to update their stock.

There are two out of three stores in Central Florida that have them in stock (for any of you out there near me).
