iPhone 5 Reservation at Apple Store

Are we sure it's going to update at 1am EST?
I find it hard to believe that all of the cities I've searched are out stock.
I've tried San Francisco, Salt Lake City, NYC, Philadelphia, Tampa, Orlando, Charleston...
I hope this is worth staying up til 1am!

Haha hey man! At least we aren't going for the same model or else it would be a competition. 😛
Nobody knows. But there's chance as per what they say happened last night. Orlando showed up with stocks last night, none tonight. Not sure at 1 est early this morning. I did not look for Tampa earlier, may the fast fingers win later, LOL.
I thought it was local time as well, but I checked all of those East Coast locations at 10pm EST and they were all listed as unavailable.
Could they really have sold out the entire eastern seaboard?
I know right? Haha so do you know if the stock updates at exactly 10pm local? or later?

It sounds like 10 pm est and pst only? Am thinking now, yeah maybe more stocks at 10pst since the Kingdom of Apple is on that side. Don't bite me on that one, if my guess is false, LOL.
But why would employees in the east coast stay that late?

Yeah... and I called Apple and the lady was a total bitch. She didn't care at ALL.
I guess I may as well wait until 1 am est now for Atlanta stock. Earlier today all the stores said they would be available Nov 1. I hope that was just a placeholder date.
They should just do it the old way. If you want one, line up outside and get one. That way those who "really" want one will line up 1 per person per week. Those who don't line up, don't. This online reservation system isn't all that reliable and it penalizes those who don't need to sign a contract or don't want to sign a contract. Apple is in the cell phone selling business, not the cell phone contract business. All they care is that they get $800 per phone, which quite a few people are willing to give them. Requiring a contract and then screwing up the reservation system is just making things more complicated. The Apple people have no idea when shipments are coming in, and if they are all allotted for online reservations (which is luck of the draw depending on how quickly you can refresh or if you happen to refresh at the right time).
Total mess and suffice it to say, if I weren't so tied to the iPhone I would be out of here. I've been using Android and I miss a physical home button, the back button is completely confusing since at times it takes you back, but other times it takes you outside to another app. Since when does a back button take you out of an app entirely? If you want to switch apps, use the task switcher. And an alarm went off, and then crashed while it was at max loudness....and an ad was showing on the screen. Couldn't stop it, super annoying, waking people up. Just held down the power button to shut down the phone. Stuff like that that I can't deal with. [end rant]

I have no idea, but I don't think the stock has been updated yet. Somebody would have posted that they got one.
So stock updates at 10pm Pacific? Because my "reserve an iphone" button is active now at 10:22pm local and there's nothing available.
Mine's been active for 1.5 hours but that just means that the system is available, doesnt mecessarily mean that the stock is updated 😉
Just too clarify, If we buy online, we don't get hooked with the contract until we go into the store and sign correct?

when i have 2 phones (under 2 numbers) in my card. a message says "only one carrier-activated phone may be in your cart at one time"
I was able to earlier. It shows Processing with an email that tells me to wait till I receive the pick up email.
The only one in stock was a 16 gig white AT&T.
