Just so you guys know, I could not reserve the phone on contract and then convert it to a device only no commitment sale. The Apple folks gave some BS about the unopened phone having to go back to the vendor because it is no longer sellable. First the vendor is Apple. Second, the device is sealed on the box.
And you have to call Apple to cancel it. You can not do it online. The apple employee was clearly saying stuff that he had no idea about because he said there was a link in the receipt where I could cancel and I asked him where and then he said oh you have to call. I made him call. I told him Apple support had said that you could convert to a full price sale but this was just experience.
Conclusion is once again at any large corporation, even Apple, there is no accountability, no one knows what they are talking about, and just about everything is store to store dependent. There is nothing wrong with buying the device full price from Apple and frankly they should be treating people who are willing to give them the full price for their phones not as second rate customers. They are in the handset making business, not the cell contract business. Would gladly go go some other phone but can't get used to android. All those toucj sensitive buttons on the bottom of the phone I keep hitting g accidentally and something just seems off. So I will probably see if I can line up like a drone zombie sheep for a full price device when they likely only have 10 available per day.
