How long do we have for pickup?
So how long do I have to pick it up? Is it 7 days or do I have to go today?

So I called Apple through the 1-800-MY-APPLE and they said I have a week from this Sunday to pick it up, so plenty of time. Still gonna call the store just to make sure lol.
For those of you trying to reserve a phone still I suggest in addition to trying every night on apple to get iPhone 5 to also call all your local radio shacks.
I called about 10 stores on Sunday and they added me to a wait list for the exact iPhone I wanted. Got a call today and had one in my hand less than an hour later activated and everything. To me this was such an easy process. I hope this will help you guys out. I was so frustrated with the online reservation! So glad when radio shack came thru.

Can anyone tell me if my wife would be able to pick up the reservation from apple store tomorrow if she went with the card that was used to pay for it? The order was under my name.
No, contractually the AT&T account holder has to be present. Although if you add her on as a "Retail Authorized User" she's able to sign contracts and act on your behalf. Just add it on your account management page of AT&T, and give her a print-out, so they know. They'll likely call and confirm with AT&T, but you'll be fine.
Got lucky last night. I was able to get a white 32gb ip5. wanted black, but there were not available. Only problem is I have to get it in Massachusettes, vice New Hampshire so I have to pay the dam sales tax.
Got confirmation letter in email this morning, so I will pick it up at lunch! Waiting 3-4 weeks is for chumps.

I ended up getting a 64GB Black. There were 32GB White but no blacks & I don't know when those will be available so I figured I'd better get what I could if I wanted it now.
Not sure if this is different for Verizon but when I upgraded my phone at the apple store earlier this week they never said a word about me not being the "account owner"... Although, I am an "account manager".

as long as you are an "authorized user" on the account they will let you pick the phone up. This is different than just being a user on a family plan. They basically just need proof you can make account changes. The people in front of me when I went to pick one up were kids on a family plan. Apple wouldn't let them get the phone without the parents there unless they got added as "authorized users"

In most cases, only the wireless account holder can pick up the iPhone on your order. If you ordered an upgrade, an authorized user on the wireless account can also pick up your order. Just make sure the person picking up the iPhone brings their ID.
I wasn't really planning on getting the iP5, figuring my iP4 would be fine another year. Then my wife mentioned upgrading (she has 3GS) and so we looked and i was initially excited but still seeing all the reservation Woes, this makes me less likely to want one now.

This is so disappointing. I've been refreshing the site from 9:55 to 11 every night for the past week or so in the Boston area and got nothing. I cannot stay up and refresh until 4AM because I have work. I wish they'd update their system 10 on the dot.
You're wasting your time. The most you should be doing is 9:50pm to 10:05pm. Nothing is going to appear after then, and it's usually just a few minutes before 10pm.
Same deal here in Cincinnati. I also wanted a 32GB Black (I have the 16G Black but realized I needed something bigger), but everywhere I called here between the Cincy-Dayton area had either the 32GB White, or obviously nothing at all.
I somehow lucked out yesterday after calling one of the AT&T corporate stores, but they only had 64GB Blacks. I decided it was better than having to wait till the 32GB Black became available.
You haven't missed much. I've been searching all over NJ and I only saw a 32GB pop up once in Marlton. Everything else appears to have been NYC.
Yeah and don't think you're going to travel to the Lehigh Valley PA store to get one. I have yet to see ANY variety (AT&T) there. White or black, 16,32 or 64. NOTHING.......N-O-T-H-I-N-G-!-!-!
Last night for the first time I saw a 64 GB Black AT&T up in Washington State. I'm in Portland but the location list gives me two WA locations. I've never seen a 64 GB Black AT&T be available in Portland but someone reported in this thread that 32 GB Black AT&T phones were available last night. I checked again around 4 AM and nothing.
On a whim I checked at 8:30 AM today and there were eight 64 GB Black AT&T Phones available in Portland so I cancelled my AT&T preorders and bought two of them this morning. I haven't received my ready to pick up e-mail so I don't know if it will be today or tomorrow or ...
The point of all this is to check stock after 4 AM and before the stores open which is something I don't remember seeing in this lengthy thread.
