ME: Hi i received an email saying that i would receive my iphone 5 on 9/21 but it has not shipped yet
ATT: How may I assist you today?
ATT: That is normal. We overnight ship the orders.
ME: oh ok so will i be able to pre sign for my package or will i not get a tracking number or anything
ATT: Once it is actually shipped you will receive an email with the tracking number and any other information you will need.
ME: ok thanks i just have one more question do you ship UPS or Fedex?
ATT: It is both. Unfortunately I will not be able to give you which one yours will be shipped by at this time.

So, I ordered through Verizon and my phone shipped really early this morning. It shipped out from West Chester, PA and I'm in NoVA. It says that the delivery estimate is the 21st by 4pm, but it shipped overnight and Fedex always delivers in the morning where I live. Will they hold it until Friday, or should I get it tomorrow?
mine still says "Preparing for Shipment" on the Apple Order Status... did the reference tracking on the UPS website and its still in Louisville, KY
I am unbelievably excited, I currently have a droid "Incredible" which I got about a month before the iPhone 4 came out on Verizon... I've been waiting a long time for this.
I too have a Droid Incredible. While I'm ecstatic to own my first iPhone, I absolutely loved my Incredible. So much better than that piece of junk Motorola phone I had prior to that. I got an excellent 2+ years from my Incredible and it's still running like a champ.
Did you not like the Incredible or anything specific like that? Just curious.
It's been good, just the battery life has always been terrible. In terms of phones, it's actually been pretty good, just random things here and there I didn't like. Mostly due to the OS and htc's lack of continued updates.
mine is also in louisville - i have been refreshing apples order status page since i ordered it friday and nothing changed after "preparing for shipment" - im so excited now that i can actually track it.
though i ordered 2 on 2 different accounts - i am only able to track 1 of them.
Cool. That's earlier than me. Mine says by 3pm. I wanted it ASAP so I can play w it all day
Mine says by 3pm, then in parentheses, it says "By end of day" and I'm pretty pissed it even still says "end of day" in there.
They must've of started moving to local facilities mine changed from location Elizabeth nj to destination my hometown. Smart, they leaving out which facility they are keeping them at because there is no fed ex in my town. Isn't too hard to figure out which facility thou, not that many options lol
My apple order page states "Shipped" but my UPS page still says "by the end of the day" which literally means that in my case. UPS is always last in my neighborhood....oh well it still beats October 5th!!! Bahahaha
My status just changed to shipped although it was shipped 4 days ago

Anybody going to do the "pre-sign for delivery"? I really have no idea when UPS will come but I need to work a few hours 6-9am tomorrow morning and don't want to miss UPS if they happen to come before 9 for some reason. I'm thinking i'll pre-sign and tape it to my door when I leave for work and hope UPS doesn't come by then (not sure if they'd leave the phone or not). I wonder if my local hub could tell me if they'd leave it with a pre-sign sheet taped to the door.
