iPhone 5 Shipped Thread

I ordered Oct. 7th and it finally changed to preparing to ship on Oct. 26th then finally shipped overnight on Sunday the 28th. So for those of you wondering about Sunday shipping, it does exist I guess. My estimated delivery from Apple is 11/2 but UPS says 11/1. Originally it said between 11/7-11/14. I'm right in the path of Sandy, so that could be delayed.
It depends on your definition of freezing!
However, as far as I know flights have been arriving and departing from the Anchorage airport. It's been mostly sunny around here.
Phone was shipped on Oct. 28 overnight. Anyone else that shipped during same time, have a last location of ZhengZhou, China? Hopefully it's on american soil by tuesday.
Mine updated to "out for delivery" this morning around 6:30 AM. It is supposed to be delivered by the end of the day today. We will see what happens. It left a facility that is about 40 minutes away from me. When UPS says "by the end of the day" do they usually deliver in the evening or is it a hit or miss when it comes to delivery times?
Has anyone who's been stuck in KY seen any activity yet? This is pretty ridiculous package behavior. Almost 4 days without any status change. Just sitting in Louisville.
This sucks. I have a feeling the next update will be "Out for delivery", which will probably also include all the activity we're not seeing now. For whatever reason the tracking site is not being updated at all. I know there has been talk of customs, but this also seems like a possible UPS canned response to customer inquiries about an unexplainable delay. Wouldn't the packages have gone through customs in AK? Maybe not, but I find it hard to believe its purely an issue with customs.
I think UPS is having some issues, either with shipping delays or tracking, and customs is only partially to blame, if at all. The people on the phones seem to have the same information available to them that we do. Not impressed. FedEx has been much more reliable and timely.

Dorian D.: The system doesn't show any problem with the package.
The last scan on a package in transit is not necessarily an indication of its current location. With the exception of the Delivery scan, each scan indicates that the package is in transit.
Dorian D.: If your package has not received a scan for more than 24 hours, it is traveling to the next sorting point and will not be scanned again until it reaches that point.

justin: so why doesnt the package have a departure scan from kentucky even though it has an arrival scan. I had ordered about 500 items and I know when my packages arrive and leave from each checkpoint

I still think UPS is hiding something. The rep I spoke to last week assured my package would be delivered today by 10:30am. It was originally scheduled for last Friday. It's past 10:30 now, and no sign of UPS.
Anyone think this could be related? UPS might have evacuated.
how unfortunate. just got off the phone and the lady is telling me to get apple to do a "tracer" on the package, after i asked if it was possible that many of our phones were lost and she just does not know anything.also my area is not affected by sandy so the ups transit should be fine so.... what could they possibly be doing to our phones?
No activity on my end. I will wait until this afternoon before calling a UPS rep.
Phone shipped yesterday. Not sure when it will arrive due to Sandy. Thing is, I don't see the Cc charge anywhere.

It kinda sounds like UPS has no clue where our phones are. When I called on Friday, the rep told me it had cleared customs and my phone would get to MA over the weekend in time for a Monday delivery. This rep says they're still waiting for a delivery date. Waiting for a delivery date? It was supposed to be here last Friday. UPS has been doing this for years, and "waiting for a delivery date" doesn't seem like a good excuse for a shipping service that's been around for as long as UPS. They should have their logistics down by now. Maybe it's actually "waiting for a delivery date because we don't know where your phone is". This chat basically tells me UPS has no clue when my phone will be delivered. Why? No clue.
Let us know what you find out. It seems like a few of us have been getting conflicting information. For everyone who has a phone stuck in KY, please contact UPS and ask them why. Has anyone also tried calling Apple?
I emailed my contact at Executive Relations and he's investigating this issue right now. He's going to call me back later today with an update, so I'll let everyone know.

Mine is in Forth Worth TX. No delivery date yet. I rather wait for the end of the week. I don't want anyone hurt delivering my phone. Nor do I want the phone to blow away.

lucky, hopefully they have all our apple packages stored up in some truck and finally all are getting thrown on the conveyer belt.

Finally, my package has passed customs and now states "Import scan" today at 11:55 AM. Also got a text that I should be receiving it tomorrow! Even though I have school tomorrow, I signed up to have the package held at the local facility and I would just pick it up on Wednesday. We'll see what time UPS decides to come by tomorrow Will keep monitoring it throughout the day to see what's going on! I'm located about an hour away from Los Angeles.
