Rumor has October 4th for a US launch. I work for Verizon and we have a vacation blackout that week. My friend at Sprint does as well.

But the 4th of October has been going around the grapevine for a week or so and our regional director hinted at a big launch the first week in October

Could be iPad 5.

Honestly, have you ever tried holding a 4.3" or higher phone and actually playing with it for a while? A lot of people seem to b**** about a bigger sized phone cuz either they can't hold it right or it won't fit in your pocket.
I was one of those people :)
I hated large phones and they didn't make absolutely no sense to me until I tried my friend's Android phone. Now I have completely opposite opinion. Bigger size doesn't cause any problems at all and large screen is a serious advantage.

And for me it was the opposite. I own an HTC One, a Lumia 928 and an iPhone 5. Now I just use the iPhone 5. Lumia's display isn't good enough (pentile, *sigh*), Windows Phone has no apps that I use, and the HTC One was just too big for one-handed usage.

I don't know about anyone else, but one of the things I enjoy the most is brushing my teeth while playing Words with Friends. Couldn't do that with the HTC One. Too big.

Wow, i'm in Japan that week - might just buy the C to play around if the price is nice. With the current exchange rate it might be even cheaper. :)

Really with these size queens, jeez :p
You'll be surprised how many "size queens" are out there, loyal Apple iPhone users for many years, that will make a switch to Android or Win phones the moment they'll see unchanged screen size with the announcement of so called new iPhone 5S. Most manufacturers release the mini versions of their flagship phones these days and even these have bigger screens than current iPhone 5 LOL

And all those phone sell less than the iPhone LOL.

Get it in your head. Lots of people like big screen, lots of people don't.

Sometimes you and I will do slightly more productive tasks on our phones. For such tasks, I find a bigger screen size is often preferable. My iPad 2 was too big to carry around during central London rush hours, so perhaps I'll find peace with the next iPad Mini and settle for a small iPhone 5S.

I do, however, draw the line at the Galaxy Notes. I can't quite get my head round those. I'm using an S3 now, it's a nice size for emails, browsing, viewing photos & PDFs, etc..

Subjective, I guess.

Edit: you can call me a size Queen then, I moved to my S3 after a 3G, 3GS, and 4. I'm still happy I did, and I still recommend the 5 to my non-geek friends. I don't know where this size Queen phrase has come from, but it looks like I fit the bill. Hopefully that excites one of you.

I'm waiting for a larger screen from Apple with a better ratio. I can keep my 4s for another year. But for people who like it small, I'm sure we will see multiple screen size options. #

Me too. I went from a iphone 4 to SGS3 and loved the size of the screen...until i really got bored with almost dropping the phone constantly due to trying to use one hand! It became a 2 handed affair then, but it didn't feel bigger when in the pocket. For me (smaller hands than the norm) id love a 4.3 or 4.5" screen.

They can launch them in Portugal and Greece, just reserve 50 iPhones for each no need to send more than that:D they won't sell much either way, people are broke.

Do you really think that is funny? The USA is in the same situation (Assuming you're from the USA). You just haven't gotten round to getting your budget deficit and all those ridiculous personal credit card debts in check.

At least they are doing something about it.
