I cry a little inside when I don't hear rumors of a bigger screen this close to the reveal.

Android here I come...

People are still whining about screen size?

If you want a laptop, get a laptop. Phones are supposed to be small.

The screen size is fine.

People are funny. They want a bigger iPhone and a smaller iPad.

Personally, I prefer 3.5" on an iPhone to 4". If I want something bigger, I'll grab my iPad mini. If I need it bigger than that, might as well go all in with the 27" iMac.

We have seen software clues about the fingerprint sensor but it worries me not seeing any hardware clues.

Apple could have simply been testing it for iPhone 6 for all we know.

I would bet the first round is going to include European countries such as France, Germany, Italy and UK.

"last year we brought you the iphone 5. this year we're bringing you not one, but two iphone 5's" *applaud light starts blinking*

I want to be surprised :(. Nothing is worse than when all of the rumours/product leaks we read about here on MacRumors are all accurate and the keynote just solidifies what we already know.

Really Bigger Screen = Innovation???

Bigger screens tend break more. In may situations you need to use 2 hands.
The iPhone line up will be fragmented and you don't want that believe me. Developers will need to re-do their apps. So if you need a system were you can go into file manager and change a few things or break a few (Android). Were you can easily use your 2 hands just to hold it (Phablet). Were Lives a happy and healthy Ecosystem Filled with malware and viruses looking to cash in on you(Play Store). Really the story is repeating it self Windows VS Apple.
Design, Quality, Consistency VS MONEY, Plastic, MONkey.
Same Story. One building an OS to dominate the market Free in a way. The other Doing it all in house. One Coping many aspects of the others OS. Both Tangled in lawsuits claiming Copyrights. Both Creating there own path.
One applies to the masses in size, colors, and App Bundles :( The other Cleaning and reinventing it self, learning and really innovating in ways that are simple and some times even logic. Creating something that did not existed and leading the way for the others to follow. Not all can see this they may not been around long enough but now that the others have stepped up their game Apple is gonna come and create another Game. (iWatch) (iTV) ??? IOS7 - that we all saw I have beta 6 and God!! IOS6 seems so old now :p Really a good direction to innovate. Not talking about the color but of the methodology used to make thing more easy for all of us. Thanks !!!!:apple:

All of you claiming the iphone 4 was so great... did you forget the death grip antennae issues that plagued the entire iphone 4 life? Sure they came out with a few software fixes, but nothing permanently. The jump from the 4 to the 4S was better than the jump from the 3S to the 4 in my opinion.

There have been some software clues. Like the redesigned home button plate. Not to mention the countless reports of the technology coming with this new release. there havn't been many pictures because the home button is usually one of the last pieces to be assembled onto the phone. All the photos up to now have just been individual parts, nothing put together. Have faith! :apple:

I'm guessing the colored models will be very popular. They will be good enough and be cheap (for an iPhone)

Why will anyone buy the flagship iPhone?

Why wouldn't they? The 5C is marketed towards a different audience. The 5S will still sell in big numbers.

How long after a new iPhone announcement does it usually take for the unlocked or non-contract models to become available for purchase?

Right away (at least here in Canada on launch it was). A guy in line beside me on launch for the 4 bought two unlocked on Day One.

Yeah, but it wouldn't hurt if Apple made a larger screen size for people who want a larger screen. I'm sure it would sell well. They're making the 5C to for a specific market. Why not a 5" or greater sized iPhone. You could still keep your smaller size.

Maybe Apple wants to leave some business for the other phone makers.

Erm, thats exactly what people do! I personally would've loved to have an iPad 32Gb, but wasn't going to pay the extortionate price for it, so went for a 16Gb version. We all can't "wander into store on release day and buy 3 top of the line phones".

You could have gotten a zune. No one is holding a gun to your head or anything. Just the laws of supply and demand at work.

I'm pretty sure apple would either have to be retarded, or pure jackass' to launch the iPhone 5c starting at 8GB. So you'll likely see 16 to start, and 32 for the 5S, finally.

You clearly weren't following rumors before February. All over December/January/February there were rumors about the iPhone MATH and or Plus and or (insert name here) with the 4.5-4.8 inch screen.

You thought those rumors were credible? Apple has a very well established pattern.

Maybe the iPhone 6 will have a 4.5-4.7 inch screen (they won't do 4.8- hold a S3 and a HTC One, you'll feel why).

Surely they are testing several screen sizes and probably have prototypes with larger screens in testing- but no way it was coming this year.

I felt the same way last year and have gone the other way since. I've owned the S3, S4, and the Nexus 4. What I've assessed since my switch is that the iPhone is better at just getting stuff done. While I like the tinkering, and bells, and whistles that come with Android. It's the simpler things, and fluidity that "just work" with the iPhone that I miss. Sure the iPhone might not be a mini tablet in size like the competition, but from my personal experience, it is far more reliable. I am seriously considering the Note 3, but more than likely will be returning to the iPhone. I need a phone that is a little more reliable, and stable than the one I use now. I have an iPad readily available, when I need a bigger on the go experience. Just my $.02

finally, some good sense!

The last few releases, 3GS->4 (retina display, better camera, front camera, glass body, huge), 4->4S (single to dual core, 2x as fast, big update to camera, huge), 4S->5 (again 2x as fast, 16:9 screen, new design with thinner aluminium body)

The only thing Apple did not do was to increase the size to 5 inches.

This is the thing I never understood. While a nice phone, it's ok for samsung to release the same damn Galaxy S design(The S4 is essentially an S3S) but the world ends because Apple makes a much faster, slimmer, lighter design with an amazing camera.

Honestly, the 3GS to the 4 the was a huge leap. So huge in fact, that I don't think there is much apple can do with the design. It's already a great looking and functioning phone. However, people expect Apple(Actually, including Samsung in some cases) to make brand new design every year.

Yeah, but it wouldn't hurt if Apple made a larger screen size for people who want a larger screen.

Yeah, it would, it would hurt the ecosystem. A larger screen size is all about sacrifices. Bigger screen gets you poorly sized/configured apps, poor battery life, sub par resolution (compared to what is currently offered) and overheating. In return, you get a bigger screen that requires two hands to operate and that if they were really in demand –*the iPhone wouldn't be as popular as it is.
