iPhone 5s APPLE STORE Order Status

I ordered mine from apple at 12:05...had my order still waiting with no progress. Decided to run into wally world while my wife was at another store and they had all colors in the 16gb (which is what i ordered from apple) so i canceled my order and bought it there..i was out in 10 minutes!

Initially i was going to order the 32 like i had with my 4S, but i never really used much space and I'm always using Spotify. Guess i got lucky!
 
VZW 32GB Gold iPhone 5S ordered via the Apple Store app at first availability is now Preparing to Ship. I paid $10 for expedited shipping, but I don't know if that's going to make a difference. If it doesn't, then I will be calling Apple for my $10 refund (they'd done it before). Mine says delivery between 9/27-10/1.

If we ordered on Friday right at 3am, then "ships in 1-3 days" means Monday-Wednesday. The day you order doesn't count and Saturday and Sunday don't count, so we should start seeing our iPhones ship next week for arrival the following week, possibly the end of next week.
 
Mine still shows processing. I got my confirmation email at 3:22 a.m. Eastern, which was just a couple minutes after I finally placed my order. Was trying to get it through Best Buy for pickup in store but their system was messing up. Sounds like it might be better this way anyway, from hearing others' experiences.

Going to an Apple Store tomorrow for a Genius Bar appointment — if my phone hasn't shipped, I'll be checking to see if they have one in stock there and will cancel my order. But I'm guessing my status will change by then.

Sounds reasonable. Seems like the "Preparing for Shipment" change is happening a lot this evening, and still on going. Mine just changed at 9:27 PM East coast time, and purchased it at about 3:05 AM.
 
Gold iPhone 5s 64GB ordered at 12:01 PT, had my confirmation email from Apple at 12:02 AM. Now "Preparing for Shipment" with expedited shipping. I hope mine arrives on Thursday. I am out of town now.

I think Apple wants them to ship asap (by Sept. 30) so the fall quarter stats will look better.

Pretty sure they should arrive on Monday/Tuesday. Carrier phones are already shipped with a ETA of Monday, so it would make sense that the supplier would get them to us as early as possible.
 
3 Gold 32GB Verizon and 1 Gray 32GB Verizon

Ordered via Apple App all by 2:07AM CDT. All Preparing for Shipment for Sept 28-Oct 2 delivery.
 
Seems there's no rhyme or reason as to who gets moved to the next "stage".

I can understand Apple wanting the lines and what-not and I honestly feel that they would have gotten them regardless (they did with the iPhone 5 with pre-orders to boot) but I honestly feel that since this product is hot off the presses, they would want it into their loyal fanbase's hands as soon as possible.

Maybe (I'm sure it is) it's just me whining and just wanting my device but I just feel like anyone who ordered the phones online are just getting the "meh, you'll get it when you get it" treatment.

I just got the UPS shipping details for the iPhone 5s from the Apple Store. So much for "delivery status touch" saying that is was processing in Ohio. Anyway, I had upgraded to expediated shipping. I was wondering if those with standard shipping also had the express tag? They all come together from China but maybe expediated packages when they hit the US, go overnight? Anyway, let me know. I want to know for next time if this expediated status is a bunch of bull.

This is for a Space Gray 32GB AT&T iPhone placed at around 12:02AM.

The reference number is your billing phone number without dashes.

i just tracked on UPS with the "track by reference" put in the phone number for the reference part and my says i will get it by end of the day Tuesday! Cant wait :)

Its currently in China, on apple it still says prepared for shipping.

Phone number... And you can disregard that post... It was for another shipment by apple. It's early here and I forgot all about that shipment.

Edited to add... It is however showing as shipped from China with a Tuesday delivery date on UPS. Hopefully this storm I keep hearing about doesn't become an issue.
 
Just got an update from UPS. I will receive it on Sept. 24.

9/24 delivery!

Didn't get a shipment email from Apple yet, but just used my phone # without dashes as the reference # for UPS and it says delivery on 9/24! Woo hoo!
 
Scheduled delivery 9/24/2013

I just used phone number to track by reference and UPS showed a scheduled delivery on 9/24/2013. My order status is still saying 'Preparing for Shipment.' This is for a gold 32GB AT&T with only standard shipping. I also ordered a space grey 16 GB AT&T a minute after I ordered the gold. I got email confirmation of my orders at 3:01 and 3:02 AM Eastern (9/20/2013).

For those who ordered two or more phones before, did they come in 1 package? Only 1 tracking number?
