Nobody wanted an Apple MP3 player

Nobody wanted a touchscreen smartphone

Nobody wanted an enlarged phone called an iPad

Nobody wanted a phone that talked back to you

What do these things have in common? No one wanted them and then everyone copied them, after everyone bought them.

Wrong, Wrong And Wrong.

Nobody wanted an Apple Camera.

Nobody wanted an Apple CD player.

What do these two things have in common? The reality that Apple has failed with decisions in the past.

It just looks weird and looks like it would feel weird in the hands. I can't image anything in portait mode would look right. I'm hoping this isn't the real iphone 5...

Portrait mode would look great with that phone because it will have a 16:9 aspect ratio, just like a TV. Think about how well that will work with airplay mirroring, etc. I wonder if the possibility of Apple developing a TV set has something to do with finally changing the iPhone's aspect ratio to 16:9? It'll be really interesting to see if the iPad follows this trend and 16:9 is really sort of standardized.

Isn't 16:9 used on laptops and most other phones too? This will possibly make app porting easier too
