Exactly. This is Apple we are talking about. They aren't gonna release a phone that users won't look the like of. It will look magnificent. People who say 'oh, it's gonna be ugly, it's gonna look horrible with a taller screen' have no idea what they are talking about. Also. I'm happy with the OS too.

Yeah okay  Because only being taller makes sense in every aspect for the features of the phone. The only thing that would make better when being taller is in landscape. How many people are in landscape mode the majority of the time? I'm not, and I surf the web 2-3 hours a day on the iphone.

Sorry but IMO, as a business, it makes no sense to only cater towards a smaller group of your customers.

Oh and to those saying, "but a bigger phone wont fit in one hand"...Really? yeah maybe it might be different holding it, but I bet 90% of those people when actually USING the phone use 2 hands

I didn't say that was the only feature. It's just some people are saying it will look ugly if the phone is longer. That's bull. And about the 2 hands? I don't know. I'm gonna create a simple poll and see what the results are.

I doubt people are going to use two hands. Like I said in an earlier post I've got bigger hands, but I doubt even my wife (with small hands) would need to use two hands. Again from the looks, it's not gonna be wider.

Yep. I agree. I've created a poll and so far the majority use one hand.

I use one hand the majority of the time with my GS3 and i dont have big hands. But they should of made the new iPhone a little wider too. IMO a 4" screen is still a bit too small but it is even smaller with it being the same width.
The 4" screen on my Vibrant looks small compared to my GS3 and the Vibrant was made wider with the 4" screen and that phone made my iPhone look small.

Im sure most will say it is perfect(what else is new here ;) ) but imo it is a mistake.

The concept is a good looking phone. Sure, it has a lot of 4/4S DNA, but this is not a bad thing.

I think the overall design of the 4S is the best on any phone currently sold, with the HTC One X coming in 2nd.

For sure it will make most brand X phones feel cheaply made in comparison

Loving the second photo ! Looks even more sleeker than the 4/4S design! The metal-glass backing on the supposed rumored 'New iPhone' seem to be a step forward in design! And now I also wouldn't have to worry about broken glasses ....

totally agree....that second pic is really sexy

I'm looking at the size of the bezel around the screen and maybe it's the distance from the camera but it looks smaller maybe half a millimeter smaller but smaller all the same. while we are looking at these photos we are certainly not sure that they won't play with the width of the phone a tad or so have a look I could be wrong but the sides of that bezel looks smaller than the 4s I'm using right now

look at the comparison shot between the new front glass and the current one it's definitely a wider screen but the extra height mask this giving the illusion of the same width. I'm enjoying these leaks and all but I won't be fully satisfied until I can see the finished product. while the renders are nice it's not the same as the real thing so until then I'll hold off

I don't really care what it looks like. I care about how it functions. All I know is I increasingly feel like my 4S screen is tiny when I try to surf web or use navigation. I am always in portrait mode and wishing it was WIDER. My husband calls it "the iPad effect". I don't want a HUGE phone (nothing over 4.5") but the current screen definitely feels cramped and a vertical stretch won't solve the portrait width issue IMO. I am hoping to be very pleasantly surprised come September/October...:)

It's the same width. You're fooling yourself into seeing what you want to see. :D

It looks wider to me as well, but who knows really for sure.

either they shrank the bezel are made a more slender phone or the opening is definitely wider

It does look like its about 1/8" wider

----------

What are the 2 dots around the top speaker/receiver?

I know the one above it is the new placement for the front facing camera, but what's the dot to the left?

Camera and Proximity.

Some of these concepts are very well done.

The concepts are off. The glass will not stick out like that i don't know why they think it will. The edge of the aluminum is angled and it will be flush. The other leaks show that the glass will sit inside the frame.
