iPhone 5S in Canada

Did anyone else's *delivery* date slip back a few extra days, AFTER they ordered?

I ordered at 3:00 am, and my order processing email says it ships in 7-10 business days, and delivers October 7 - 10 (standard shipping). But now, if I check apple.com/orderstatus, it still says it ships in 7-10 business days, but it will arrive October 9 - 15. :/

Yup! Originally was supposed to be delivered October 6th-10th and now it's slipped to October 10th-16th

MIne also slipped. Ordered at 3:00 am and received confirmation at 3:01 am. Was surprised to see 7-10 day shipping and Oct 7-10 delivery. I called and got them to add expedited shipping and pushed delivery up to Oct 4-9.

I checked this morning and it now says Oct 8-11 expedited. Disappointed.

Just left Market Mall and was told they had a few Space Grey 16GB. New shipments are coming every few days but it's sounding like white/silver and gold aren't coming until October.

I'm in Calgary and want the black 64 GB. I had my order completed by 12:05 AM PT despite not being able to get in until around 12:03. Never saw better than 7-10 days and the expected date did get "worse" as time went on.

Pretty discouraging for us Canadians. 1-3 days just didn't happen. I agree with the comments about this feeling like a presale.

I considered hitting a store, but I don't do lineups.

Also, I have an Apple Finance account (3 months no interest for purchases over $750). You can only use the credit online. I've paid for two iPads and one iPhone in the past and haven't paid a dime of interest. Well worth it to me so I guess I'll have to wait. My 4s is serving me fine until then.

As of today, I am down for October 10-16 for expected date which is where it's been for the past few days.

I've got the same reply.

I think it depends on the agent you talk to. My understanding is expedited shipping does make a difference for customs pre-clearance and after the packages arrive at the UPS/Fedex US hubs.

Worth the wait as hard as it is to do. 3+ months interest free financing it great too. I only wish you were able to use the credit in store and within the Apple Store App. Sort sighted thinking on Apple's part. Also, not being able to use Express checkout with it is weak too.

I ended up calling Apple today and asked them to change my shipping address to my work and see if they could change me to expedited shipping, which they did for free. I'm now looking at delivery as early as 4 October!

At this point, I'll probably stop checking the stores...until maybe next week.

It's still showing 7-10 business days. Just the expected delivery is greatly improved.

On another thread here someone posted that last year's shipments arrived earlier than advertised so one can hope for even better news.

On another front, the Market Mall location in Calgary is now completely sold out of all models and they are expecting another shipment in the next two to three days. No word on whether any golds or silvers will be in said shipment.

I have a feeling its because of the week long holiday A week seems a bit extreme. How much money do you think Apple looses in a week of no production? I'd be very happy if my phone came next Friday. That's the fastest shipping If you add up the 7 bushiness days and shipping. I have a feeling it'll be the next Friday after that though

Lucky. I completed my order less than 5 minutes after midnight Pacific Time and my time hasn't changed. Pretty annoying. Oh well, at least I don't have an "October" delivery estimate.

I was there yesterday and asked them and he confirmed they were completely sold out. However, he said they were looking at a new shipment sometime in the next 2-3 days. No indication of what models they expect to get.

Yeah...I live in the N.E so its annoying for me to even bother checking. Maybe ill just wait a week or 2 until I can walk into a shop and don't have to worry about it being sold out.
