I don't think this is true for the + models. I think even early pre-orders (at least the majority of them) are auto 4-6 week delay. I don't think Apple had the stock for Sprint for release (for the + models).

WTF, I talked to Sprint on the phone, and they told me none of the stores would have the + models in. Hah. And they also told me I couldn't cancel my order and just get filled in store. WTF.

Typical Sprint BS ill just go off a You never know approach from now on, but I will be waiting in line on friday if I don't get a tracking number anytime soon...

You could be right, don't mean to shoot you down. I have to think, some of this stuff varies store to store. The only thing that confuses me, is whether they are going to have the + models or not. I've been told by various Sprint reps (via online customer support or by phone support), that all + models were delayed for Sprint. And that they wouldn't even have any in store on release date (only the regular). I mean, if they are going to have a bunch in stock at physical stores, then why the hell are they not filling our pre-orders?

I could understand up to a point (that they set aside some for retail outlets, because they want to get new customers to sign up for contracts). But waiting 3-4 weeks, possibly 6 weeks...and if they actually have a bunch in store. I would be freakin pissed. They already charged us the full amount as well.

I said this a couple pages back, but I actually don't have a phone. My Phone broke 3 weeks ago, and I waited till the 6 came out. Usually I wouldn't need a new phone on release date, I can wait. I don't need the newest thing right away. But I kind of do need a phone right now, as I don't have one. I mean, I'm going to go out and get a cheap throwaway model (that was the plan). But I'll be kind of irked if they did end up having + models on release date afterall, and I'm stuck in limbo for 3-4 weeks. =/

I guess I'll just have to be aggressive and call up my local store a day before the 19th, and press them on the situation. Then line up early if I am able to do that.

There's a lot of misinfo going around.

There's the reddit page that was linked here a few pages back stating sprint has phones for every make and build. Some are meant for stores and some for preorders.

Not every store will receive every make and build. The stores in bigger cities will receive the most. If u live in BFE then expect an incredibly small supply. If I recall correctly some smaller stores on previous launch receive less then ten phones.

Expect the plus to be rare in stores. I am unsure if sprint is doing a ratio of store/preorder or not but can't help but hope majority of the plus goes to preorder but part of me says sprint wants customers in the stores to upsell and for the free press.

The questions which we won't know the answer to such as how many of X phones did sprint initially receive and what is the result frequency and numbers per re supply. Since we don't know exact figures its a long shot.

What I do know and have posted previously is that sprint is the worst at updating their tracking page. I've checked the night before I received a phone and had no tracking number before. I wish when that happened I tracked my CC charges but I didnt.

The truth is until someone with a plus preorder (especially 128GB) comes on here and posts their specific status that is different from everyone else then we could be checking in vain up to the 19th and possibly even longer however I have no doubts some will receive one on day one otherwise that would be ludicrous.

It's times like these I truly hate how sprint handles iconic device pre orders.

Alright, I appreciate that info. I guess....I'll just have to wait and see if my local store got any + models in, and see if they will let me swap out my online order that is in limbo. I'm not holding my breath. I don't live near a major city, so I don't think they will get any models in (or if they do, it will be like 5-10 lol)

I feel like, they still have to be supply constrained though. It seems like it.

I just got off the phone with my local Sprint store and the people there are super cool and aren't really like an automated voice message like most stores. The lady told me if I had a + pre order, since there were only 2, that there's an incredible chance I will walk out with a phone Friday. She said that she couldn't guarantee me one, but close to it.

I really don't even know what to believe anymore.

That doesn't sound like good odds. Only 2? You better be the first in line. :p

The sprint store I called is in Federal Way Washington, an outskirt of Seattle, I encourage you all to call them as well and see what they say (253) 661-1927, they are a corporate store as well and its where I was last year when i got my 5s on release day by waiting in line. I believe back then they had all the 5c models and colors and only 4 5s's total and none were gold

Unfortunately I don't live in Washington. I believe what you are saying though. I'm just tired of being dicked around by various Sprint people saying different things. But maybe it's because my store is in a smaller city that we won't be getting any models. Bleh.

What do you work for Sprint? Everyone on this thread is trying to find out what sprint won't tell us, I was just stating, unless Sprint is that F'd up they know but won't tell us when they will ship our orders.

Or maybe sprint is just that F'd up.

It almost sounds like everyone at sprint is in the "know" but only certain people are willing to share the info.... Who the hell knows anymore lol I just put iOS 8 on my 5s just to fill the "newness" void lol

I'll add to my statement that I worked over ten years for sprint.

The stores can say different things and u won't know if true until Friday. I myself spoke to a store rep in person who at first told me to go ahead and cancel my order and they'd have it this Friday and I swear not 15 minutes later that same rep without talking to anyone else or checking a computer as it was down told me I could be waiting weeks if done via the store.

Secondly chat and call center reps typically do want to help, but that's not always a good thing. Some of them get on here or search the web and see something stated that sounds believable and will tell other coworkers. It can eventually become an urban myth and some people even get in trouble for trying to give out word of mouth info because it's not official and therefore could be 100% wrong.

I know people who work at call centers still and I've been asked about stuff and they pass along what I've told them as official I'm sure. They do so because they want to help in most cases and believe the hearsay to be true.

Now I don't work for them anymore so it's speculative but I highly doubt they've got any additional info because BELIEVE ME Sprint doesn't want u calling in or chatting with their reps when they've been downsizing for over a year.

Basically says that on the tracking page to not call in and for that reason above all others they wouldn't give reps specific details because everyone would call in. And yes that's sad because people calling in wanting info is killing the reps stats and creating unhappy customers that will leave negative feedback even if u rate the rep as great but rate the company as bad that rep can lose their monthly bonus because to sprint that rep is the company. Yeah tell me about how bad that screws someone over and no I'm not disgruntled as the bonuses started after I left.

Which model is this in reference to??????

Usually I can agree, because no one forced us to pre-order (and there was never any guarantee we would get it by the 19th, and yet we still ordered). BUT I would say:

I. Not all of us have phone's (I know this is the exception to the rule, but in my case my phone broke 3 weeks ago, and I've been without one for 3 weeks. Yeah, I can just get a cheap throwaway one, and I will do that if my + model is delayed that long...but you can kind of understand the urgency in cases like this, vs already having a good phone, but wanting to get the newest thing first.

II. Even if you have a great phone, it's kind of the fact that Sprint already charged us in full. I dunno. I think that's kind of ******. To charge someone 100% and yet have no idea when to expect the product you paid for (so in that sense, I get why people are kind of irritated).

III. Sprint is awful at communication, and can't get their **** straight. And that can be frustrating, when again..they have your money.

Anyways, I'm gonna stop complaining and will just wait and see. Thanks to jmantn for providing us with some information. It's helped me understand the situation a lot more than Sprint themselves were able to (who have just made it more confusing and frustrating instead).

Guys... If you ordered the 6 and are worried... Don't be. There will be so many 6s available on launch. I personally work for Best Buy and I saw the invoice for iphone 6 and it's a huge amount. We are unsure about the plus at this point. If you ordered the 6, just chill out. The plus is the only phone we have to worry about.

I think everyone needs to stop calling Sprint. We're getting different answers from different reps which means that they don't know what's going on.

You're welcome. As I said I'm not there now so can't say 100% for sure they don't have some updates but all the info I've provided was true for the 5, 4S and a multitude of android phones.

They intentionally have us generalized info and made it a point to direct people where to check.

For any naysayers Google sprint layoffs and you'll see that sprint don't have the same number of people working as they use to and they want people to use automated services. Another way they can be cost efficient.

I like Sprints plans and left on great terms with them hence sticking with them.

Any info u receive take with a grain of salt and keep in mind some of us will post here as soon as something changes.

For those who missed the boat I was in I had a Seperated Employee Retention Offer plan SERO and was told I could preorder. Attempted to preorder at 1215 PST and it said account type not supported. Took over half an hour to truly get back in and I ordered a new account and line around 1255PST and went to bed and slept in. Woke up to a ur order is on hold email with a number to call. Despite my billing, mailings address and CC being unchanged on the new account or old account and all under same name it flagged as fraud. I was told order wasn't pushed back in line which I kinda doubt.

So I'm here watching every day. And for those wondering I did write some letters but to no avail.

My order was for the 128 iphone plus Space Grey

i assume nobody has heard anything? My gf has sprint and ordered a gold 6 16gb at 330am est or so, only thing she sees when she looks up order number is phone is in warehouse, no est ship date

i ordered approximately 330am EST and had the same reply from sprint

"Your pre-order for the 64GB iPhone 6 Plus is at our warehouse"

keeping our fingers crossed

I just wanted to chime in on the "pending" versus "posted" debate. I worked in finance for 6 years for both Wells Fargo and US Bank. I can tell you that there is a big difference between pending and posted charges.

A pending charge is one that is temporary. It may or may not turn into a permanent posted charge. A posted charge will not fall off and is part of the permanent transaction history. A charge can be refunded, but the original charge stays on the account with a separate credit transaction. A pending charge once it falls off appears that it was never even there on the account history.

Most merchants will place a charge at the time of purchase, which will move from pending to posted over the course of a few days. This is for POS transactions, such as at a brick and mortar retail store. Online retailers typically do the same, with the exception of pre-orders. Now, some merchants post a pending charge for a pre-order which later falls off until the order is shipped, at which time it will be re-posted to the account and will become a permanent charge.

So according to Sprint's website, they will charge you for pre-orders immediately, meaning posted vs pending charges could mean nothing. Though I just think it's curious how some people here have seen the charge fall off while others have seen it move to a permanent charge. Seems there's potentially something to that.

There's my little lesson for today. Do with it what you will. ;)

Question???

On another quick subject, has anyone heard of the iPhone 6's NFC only supporting the Apple pay features and nothing else?
