What I'm unclear on is if the delay would mean that the shipping is delayed or if the posting of the tracking info is delayed but the orders still shipped.
 
I have auto reload set on ups website with the account number, and silver is still only + that shows up with a tracking # i have 4 pages open to different types of tracking that auto updates in 1-5 min increments, so i dont have to do it manually.

So far still no gray +'s

I'm going to talk this one out loud because I'm not sure about any of this. But IF Consolidation ties an order to a phone and Consolidation is the system that failed then phones without an attached order couldnt be moved from the palette. That means, during the downtime, the entire packaging process stopped.

Is that right?

I think our only hope for tomorrow is that they'd try to make up for it by sending it Next Day Air. Or....because of the system failure, they skipped the step that involved attaching tracking numbers to orders which is why absolutely nothing updated after about 10am this morning.

I think you've got it right. As the "insider" said, "today was kind of an off day…" Sounds like they couldn't get much work done while the system was done.

Ya I was kinda wandering the same thing, so for extra assurance I also was able to request, thru UPS, that the package be left at the management office. Hopefully the UPS driver can figure it out.
 
I'm just a little worried about the whole "only 8 million + units across all carriers for the U.S. until the end of the year" thing. Even if it was evenly split (so 4M GSM, 2M Verizon and 2M Sprint), they're gonna be cutting it close to not already out of stock until 2015 - and I figure it wouldn't be evenly split with more units in the other model scheme than ours. We're still in prelaunch now and orders are still being placed - I placed mine 2 days ago and between when prelaunch started and when I placed mine nearly 700,000 orders were placed between the 6 and 6+

Hope loads of folk not here don't wanna wait until Christmas for their phone because if they do, they may be SOL

I am losing hope and a bit frustrated as I have seen the exact same phone with order times after mine with tracking posted here.

Same boat. Ordered my 6+ 16GB SG the moment they went live on the Sprint site (order confirmation about 7 minutes after), before the crash. Haven't heard a peep outside confirmation and that it is "Sitting at the warehouse and will take 4-6 weeks to move from a pallet to a truck".

Don't mind waiting, but since I got in the MOMENT it went live, kind of a bit of an annoyance to see others shipping out before, who ordered several, several hours later. Makes me wonder why I didn't just go to sleep and order when I woke.

One thing to consider is that In 2011 Sprint made a gigantic deal by committing $15.5B in iPhone orders.

Even though Sprint is the least popular carrier with the most complex handset requirements then Apple is likely under contract to fulfill a specific amount regardless of where demand lies.

So that deal may be exactly why ATT is delaying launch HOUR orders by 4-6weeks while Sprint was able to promise a 3wk window and is fulfilling at a much more rapid pace than the competitors.

Hooray for Sprint?

I've been following the post and have issues myself with my order. I placed an order for 2 iphone 6 +(white & grey) 64 GB phones on 9/12 @ 6:15am EST / 3:15am PST. The white + 64GB shipped and will arrive tomorrow, but I have yet to receive a tracking number for the grey. The first 5 of my confirmation # is : 750567.

I spoke to a rep today who said the 64gb+ SG are on back order due to high demand, and that I should receive it in the next week.
 
I have 1 coming tomorrow it is the silver plus 64 gb and i ordered 2 more for my Son and his GF now mine has shipped but he is in the crowd of the Iphone 6 plus Gray.

I know MANY of us want to come on here and talk about the Iphone when it comes BUT i really suggest once your phone comes to either just post 1 time yours came or not post at all. #1 it will clutter up the thread and also the people who did not get them are not going to be very happy so i know how some of you like this thread :) but please lets keep it tomorrow in this thread about the ones that did NOT come tomorrow and those who want to talk about there phone and how great it is etc please do so in those other threads.

I called my local Sprint corporate store and they said no iPhone 6 plus came in! I live in Ga.:confused:

There was an article about production at foxconn (where they make the iPhone 6 and 6+) saying they are cranking out 140,000 6+'s per day and 400,000 6's a day. That's 21.6 million combined units in two months if they work 5 days a week. Obviously more units if they are working 7 days a week. Like, 30.2 million combined units.. by, say, mid-october.
 
My confirmation after the pre order states up to 3 weeks. But the bimbo I talked to at sprint today told me 4 to 6 weeks. I'll give sprint up to the 3rd week before canceling my order. Might wait a week and walk into a sprint store just to see what they have in stock. Might have to down grade to a 6 if they have one.
