I'm sorry but that pocket picture is proof that Bigger is not always better.

It's perfect for secretly filming something or people!
Undercover journalists will have such an easier time, not having to conceal a camera. Nobody will suspect it!

I ordered a 6 Plus because that's what I wanted, not because it would look cool or neat or even fit in a shirt pocket. Of course I am a woman so I rarely wear shirts with shirt pockets except when I borrow one of my hubby's polo shirts. :D

Honestly I CANNOT WAIT to get my hands on this phone! I tried similarly sized devices in the stores and they always fit in my pocket just fine, plus I tend to take my phone out of my pocket when I sit down anyway so as long as it doesn't fall out while walking down the street I'm good. I rarely to never put things in my back pocket so that's not a concern. My biggest concern is will the case I order appropriately match my purple Coach purse or my Vera Bradley bag or do I just get a transparent case so everyone can see the beautiful goldness of my new phone! Probably not getting mine Friday but instead at some point between then and Oct. 7. Please get here fast!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just when I started losing hope in this fickle crowd, I see someone who happily sticks to their decision, not being swayed by a picture of their purchase in a pocket. It's gonna be a sweet sweet day when those babies come. I'm also having a massive think about the cases. So far none have stood out :(

Also, to all those saying they're going to jump ship to the 6 now because it looks like a "monstrosity," please cancel you Plus order now! I and other Plus buyers who are sticking with what they were originally happy with want out orders to come as early as possible and that might help propel things :p

It's a little surprising that people are going on only about size as the difference between 6 and 6+.

There are other differences too. Battery and OIS are ones we know about, which is a substantial difference. Then, there's the price. And then, there are rumors of 6+ having more RAM. These things would probably make more of a difference for me than just the size.

Had all things been the same, I would have taken the 6.

Seriously Apple. Take the financial hit and move Apple production to the United States, and kill the leaks/thefts.

'Designed In California?'

Puh.

'Made In The United States'

I don't really care whether or not the 6+ fits in my pocket, I don't really care if I can use it one handed. I just want that 401 ppi display.

The 6+ is VERY tall. Maybe too tall.

Keep in mind each shirt has different pocket sizes. On Thursday I talked with my boss about which each of us were ordering. He was on the fence so I handed him my Note 3. It stuck out if his shirt pocket, however mine was fully down inside and not showing.

So, printed out the 6+ form and made a dummy. It looked kinda big but...

..It was perfect. No second guessing, no denials, no doubts.

The pocket test was passed with flying colours in skinnies with shallow pockets. Granted, I am 6'1" with slightly larger hands, but it's not awkward or uncomfortable. Laid in bed with it which I do every night before sleep with my 5S to do some general browsing in one hand, and its not an issue AT ALL.

If you doubt it? Don't. Video's of people trying mockups are one thing, but you having the physical object in your own hand, is another. Friday can't come sooner!

There would be more leaks here than in China.

We have/run more social apps than any group of people on the planet. Americans would do it without batting an eye... The Chinese do it to feed their family for a couple months.

Sure. Here's a link for you: http://www.cnn.com/video/data/2.0/video/tech/2014/09/11/rachel-crane-iphone-6-test.cnn.html Maybe she can be the fantasy girl, ring leader of this particular conversation? ;)

I was joking haha.

Personally I chose the 6 and I don't care what anyone else thinks of my choice. It's the best phone for me. Thats all that matters.

I don't like to get involved in daft arguments over stuff that isn't important.

That woman was pretty hot though.

I'm in Canada and I did the iPhone reservation at:

https://reserve-ca.apple.com/CA/en_CA/reserve/iPhone/availability

I don't know how it works elsewhere but it let me select a 1 hour window (8:00 - 9:00 was the first available). Sounds like there will be two lineups. One for people who didn't reserve and one for people who did. Hopefully it will save waiting in line for more than an hour.

You didn't have a choice?

It's also an unlocked - no contract phone so maybe that is the difference.

Nah, no choice for me here in California. I selected an iPhone 6 64gb space gray and it just said available for pickup on the 19th. That was it. My phone is being subsidized by AT&T though, not unlocked.

That time window is pretty cool though. That should he very convenient to get in and out rather quickly. I expect it to be super busy for me since my pickup store is the flagship San Francisco store. But I decided to deal with that than possibly miss my delivery.

"Is that a 6+ in your pocket or are you just happy to me me?"

Seriously though, those going for the 6+, are you upgrading from the iphone 5 or 4? Thats a big jump in size. Having personally gone from a 4" to a 4.6" phone myself, I can say it felt like a big leap in screen space. Can't imagine from 4" to 5.5".

I know that initial moment I take my 6+ out the box, it's gonna be a huge upgrade from my iPhone 5. I'm sure in a week I'll be saying, "I could go bigger." Haha. But its about Apple got with the program and realized the want for larger screens. People are becoming more productive with their devices on the go and having the larger screen real estate is crucial. I want to the consume my phone content without having to hold my phone a foot from my face.

4.7" looking like the perfect size

5.5" probably isn't nearly as bad as it sounds to hold in hand. I'm just concerned about lugging it to the gym or on a run. Might be a little uncomfortable in fitted jeans too.

For those that are active, I can see the 6+ being potentially problematic.

I'm in the gym 4 times a week, or running or mountain biking, and even my Samsung S5 makes me have to reconsider how I do certain things compared to when I had a 5S.
