Can any 6 plus owners comments to on battery life. Can you get at least a full day usage on single charge. For reference I'm one of the few users who has to charge his 5s at least once during the day
Thank you guys #

I have the 6+ and was able to go through a full day of usage (setting up the phone, downloading my content and normal phone usage) and still had over 50% battery life left.

Only charged it twice so far but 40% left after taking off charge at 7am on Saturday until 9am Sunday. Been using is way more than I used my iPhone 5S and I have barely touched my iPad Air.

And when Samsung **** themselves as you said, so will Apple as they will be left with no component supplier that as a great price/quality ratio!

I don't think there are any Samsung parts in the new iPhones. Not even sure about the screens.

I'm curious if iphone 6+ owners believe that the 5.5" device can replace their ipad? You have a 9.7" air, so maybe not... But I can't help but wonder if it'll make the iPad mini feel unnecessary.

Thank you guys

I've experienced great battery life so far.

Yesterday through 10 hours with normal usage and on the go (varying cell signal strengths) I was at 56% battery life still. By the end of the day (around 15 total hours), I had somewhere around 30% battery remaining.

Today so far I have been using my phone fairly heavily (downloading new apps on LTE, browsing twitter and reading articles, listening to podcasts) at it currently stands at 85% at 4 hours at 15 minutes since I unplugged it.

I typically had to charge my iPhone 5 at least once during the day previously and would always keep a charger near by for small periods of charging to keep it at a reasonable level.

I don't have my new phone, so I can't comment on the Plus. But I can say that my iPhone5 can last for 3 days (or so) if I turn the brightness down. With a screen as large as the Plus's, I'd bet the same thing is true. And I bet that this benchmark was done with brightness at 100 percent. Take it down to 75 percent and it would be amazing how much longer the battery lasts. And you wouldn't even notice the difference visually.

significantly more pixels

Still, you'd hope that the A8 would be able to compensate and at least edge ahead of the A7 in that regard...

How disappointing if the GPU turns out to be not much improved from the A7 silicon...

Went to NYC with my 6+ on Saturday. Had moderate to heavy use from 6:30 am to 8 pm (Taking pictures, videos, music, games, texting, web browsing). Had 40% by 11 pm. Listened to music the entire train ride back (2 hours) while playing a game. Finished it at 30% by the time I got home at around 1:30. My background app refresh is off, bluetooth off, brightness is at 50%. Also I scored 2915 in Geekbench and I think the graphics are doing quite well. I see no problem with it rendering images to 1080p.

The Note 4 will drop and destroy this results, and yes I'm using a iPhone 5s :) I'm a fan.

That drop off on the 6+ Graphics doesn't fill me with confidence. That was the one I ordered (I cancelled it today for a completely different reason to this graphics thing).

I think (well, guess) the low graphics benchie is due to the scaling that the 6+ does... an extra operation that probably no other phone does. Of course, it's pushing a lot of pixels either way, but adding that extra scaling operation couldn't help.

It sure was an interesting decision. I can't see what advantage it gives them. My guess is they were planning on a 1242 x 2208 physical screen but the technology didn't come together and this was the fallback plan.

But I wouldn't cancel just because of this (in fact, I'm not canceling my 6+ order): It's still fast... just not incredible.

My answer would be yes, the 6+ COULD replace the need or desire for an iPad mini. For the larger one, there could be a case for that since the iPad apps provide a better experience in a lot of cases when they use the available real-estate properly.

My main complaint on the iPhones over the years vs. the iPad is that the browsing experience was poor on the phone since I consistently had to zoom pages in order for me to read the text (yes, I have bad eyes). However, on the 6+, I find that normal text for webpages is legible even with my eyesight, without having to manually zoom the pages. Some pages, such as MacRumors, are very easy to read using the default settings.

I love these detailed reviews. Most online reviews are completely subjective, I like to see some hard numbers.

I'm impressed by both the 6 and 6 Plus battery life. I honestly thought that in real world use the Plus would have worse batterylife because of the greater work on the GPU.

Hmmm, given how well the iPhone 5(s) scored on previous battery tests with Anandtech and reading through the threads here with so many people complaining about the battery life of their phones, I am not sure, if I would trust their results.

Phone Arena for instance, came to a rather different conclusion.

Anandtech was always questionable with their pro Apple slanted reviews. They always.posted benchmarks that contrasted what other review sites posted.

After Apple hired the the founder, things became crystal clear.

...and here is me wrestling with buying a Samsung S5. Turns out they are toilet after all, shouldn't have been listening to the Applephobes that have been trying to influence my decision. 6 plus it is then, job done.
