I'd like to know when Apple plans on ridding the home button and implementing Touch ID into the the screen. I'm confident that will happen at some point. For now I'm hoping Apple skips the 6(S) variant next year and goes to the iPhone 7 with less chin on the top and button especially for the Plus version.

Highly doubt they'll skip the S version. They haven't done it before and I doubt they will just stop now. The S version will be the same as the regular 6/6+ but just like one or two new features.

I feel like the physical home button is what distinguishes an iPhone from other phones. Who knows...will be interesting to see how Touch ID is implemented in future designs.

I think Samsung Galaxy's would beg to differ.

Well the 6 is still a awesome device so good for u. My wife has the 64GB gold 6, and she loves it. I got to play with it when she got it in the mail, on 10/7 and it was a joy to use. Receive my 64GB SG 6+ on 10/16 it took a few days getting use to, being that we both are coming form the 4S. But after a week with my 6+ I have gotten use to it, and using it is an amazing experience for sure. Some time it would try to use my wife 6, but even her phone seems small to me. So I would revert back to my 6+ right away. At the end of the day they are both great devices and u can't go wrong with either.

Nice pic. It tells which one is yours and which is your wife's even without any explanation.

Beg to differ? The Galaxy's are also distinguished by their rectangular buttons. Also, please don't quote me again.

Sorry, Ann, the forum is not called "Ann's Place". I quote whomever I like. But here's a tip: if you don't make inaccurate statements, you will be less likely to be quoted by other posters correcting your mistakes.

And yes, I beg to differ with your statement:

I feel like the physical home button is what distinguishes an iPhone from other phones.

The Galaxy ALSO has a physical home button. Now, you were either unfamiliar with that phone and that's why you made your faulty statement, or you are unfamiliar with the meaning of the word "distinguish".

Which is it?

I'll rephrase, "I feel like the CIRCULAR home button is what distinguishes an iPhone from other phones."

Design wise yes. But this is where lot of people get confused, and they think the S version are just the same as the previous versions (they get fooled by the alike design)
The S version usually do get quite a lot of internal upgrades, the ones that are not visible to the eye.
