My Iphone5 just barely fits into fuelbelt's 'bento box' for bike top frame tubes. With a bigger screen this will no longer be the case. I slip my phone in there along w/ keys and/or garage door opener whenever I'm bike commuting and the size increase definitely poses an issue.

Use a rucksack/messenger bag then, or buy a smaller phone.

Who can fit a massive phone like that in their pocket anyway?!

I use a belt pouch for my phones (GS3 and iP5S).

I LOVE the 3.5 inch screen I have. 4 inch looks okay, but...

What do you think?

I loved the size of my old 3.7" screen. When I got a 4.8" screen, it took a few weeks to get used to it. Now, I can't stand the small screen on my old phone as it feels too small.

It's a shame Apple forces you to buy it!..................

"But... bbbutt... I can't make a decision based on what I want! Apple makes it, so therefore I have to buy it!"

I like the 4.0" screen personally. I have a 7.9" for times I don't (mini).

If I don't like the 6 though, I won't buy it. I really don't understand why people get so upset over it. If you don't like it, don't buy it! It really speaks to the power of Apple (something I've never denied) that so many people will buy it no matter what.

Granted I don't see much chance in NOT liking it, but I wasn't thrilled with the 3G/3GS (only ended up buying a 3GS because T-Mobile got on my nerves and I wanted to go legit... I was perfectly happy with my hacktivated/jailbroken 2G back in 2008/9 lol). Had I not, I would have skipped the entire "3G/S" generation.

The bigger screen wil be a huge hit. That's obvious. I wish they wouldn't do it, but it's not enough of a deal killer by itself to make me write it off entirely yet. If it's the only remarkable difference though? Maybe a lot of people will. 4" is PLENTY for a phone. It makes pockets (and thumbs)happy.

I agree that majority of market wants bigger screen, but for me big screen is not an important thing, all i need is long battery life, some times much bigger screen is creating an issue so according to me 3.5" or 4" is a perfect.

The 4.7" iphone 6 still fits nicely in a pocket due to the bezel being thinner and the phone being thinner.

It is also usable with one hand by most people. It's the largest phone that is completely comfortable to use.

Now anything above 4.7 inches would be crazy.

I have one of the 4.7" mockups which I have been playing with. I have to say it's exactly the right size for me. Much bigger would mean the one handed use goes out of the window but the screen is a good amount bigger than the 5S.

I always loved the form factor of the original HTC One and this is pretty much the same size only thinner.

Literally everyone with functional front pants pockets can fit a 4.7" phone in there (not counting the decorative pockets on some women's clothes)

Hope this helps

Because the iPhone 6 won't be massive.

It will most likely be as tall as a Nexus 5, as wide as a Moto X, and thinner than just about any phone on the market right now. It will be easy to use with one hand and fit in just about every pocket.

IMO 'massive' phones are phablets.

No it won't. It will be a lot bigger than the Moto X. Here's a comparison. Because Apple insists on huge bezels, it will be a lot bigger than other 4.7" phones.

My phone is 5.2" and I see the 4.7" and they look tiny. I couldn't do it.

Because LG doesn't design phones with humongous bezels, my phone is basically just a screen.

So my 5.2" phone is as big as the 4.7" iPhone. Actually Apple is so lame, if you look closely the 4.7" iPhone 6 is taller than my G2.

This here is my phone. I gave up the iPhone for this. For the 4.7" size of the iPhone 6 I get a 5.2" screen AND a 3,000mAh battery that lasts ALL DAY LONG with HEAVY USE. The iPhone 6 1,800mAh battery is a joke for the size of the phone. I'm at 85%. I've been watching YouTube since 5am. My "Screen On" time is 1hr 20min. I haven't turned off the screen since I woke up. The iPhone 6 would be at about 6X% at this point, maybe even less.

If I don't watch YouTube and just check Facebook and read Newsstand I can go 1 hour and the phone may go down 3%-5% only.

That phone looks great and the battery sounds amazing. I'm not sold on the LG brand though...
However, it's one to look at for sure as I've heard others compliment the LG phones.

This is my first LG phone ever. Going on 1 year now (October). No problems at all. They've updated it 4 times already, once was 4.4.2 KitKat. There were a couple of apps that were affected, but updated and fixed within weeks.

I heard the complaints with LG before. My experience has been the opposite.

And BTW, if Apple had come up with the buttons on the back design it would've been hailed as the greatest design achievement of the 21st century. It is a brilliant design.

But anyway, my point is the iPhone 6 should be a LOT smaller. I'm just comparing the screen size and battery size you could fit into a phone as big as the iPhone 6.

It will NOT be a lot bigger than a Moto X. It will probably be identical in width, thinner, and as tall as a Nexus 5.

Having a larger screen isn't a good thing IMO. I had a Nexus 5 and am much happier ergonomically with my Moto X. 4.7" is the perfect screen size for me. Also if you love your G2 so much why even bother talking it up and talking down iPhone's? Great, enjoy your phone.

I love my Moto X but I'm open to the iPhone 6. Better apps and camera.

I think he's basing his assumptions off the dimensions of all the leaked parts (mostly the front glass).

What are you basing your assumptions off of?

I just posted it up there.

I'm talking down the iPhone 6 because it is as big as my G2 and my screen is 5.2".

I really hope this leak is not the design and the world has been fooled, but it looks like typical Apple. It is a huge phone with a tiny screen and battery that makes no sense. They could have fitted a MUCH larger battery and a bigger screen in that phone.

But it will sell out when it comes.

138mm x 67 mm or 64 mm has been reported multiples times by nowhereelse.fr and other reputable sites. Plus the leaked parts seem to back this up.

138mm is almost 5.5" tall. The Moto X is 5.0"

Thanks for saying I'm right.

Next?

This photo backs up what I said. It should be Nexus 5 tall and Moto X wide.

You seem really hung up on how much screen one could fit on such a footprint. Again, I don't think fitting a larger screen on the same footprint is necessarily a good thing. I had some issues with the Nexus 5 and no issues with the Moto X ergonomically. 4.7" is plenty big for me and others. A 4.7" screen is not tiny.

I'm not sure what your battery argument is about. You mean don't go thinner?

Get a huge phone. Put a small screen and small battery inside.

Great design.

So you had issues with the Nexus 5, so you'll have issues with the iPhone 6.
