Haha and the one-handed operation lie continues.

First we heard 3.5" is the absolute maximum for one-handed use. Then it was 4" suddenly. Now apparently 4.7" is improved one-handed use.

Even the iPhone 5 with 4" couldn't be used with one hand anymore. That is if we define one-handed use as being able to touch every spot of the display while still firmly holding the phone in the same hand.

And everyone said the Dell streak's 5 inch screen was way too big to have any sort of real use. There's no lie, no conspiracy; markets change, companies can change their mind, it's okay

I got absolutely no problem with that fact. What I have a problem with is the way Apple fans and also Apple are trying to put these changes under a rug so they can keep saying they were "right" all along. Shows little character and I expect more than that from Apple.

You clearly have no idea what are you speaking of, so it is a waste of time to speak with someone who doesn't know the difference from multiwindows to multitasking.
Speak with someone who says that his experience is "more factual" than anything I can post make me think I'm speaking with a 15 years old guy, so since I'm 42 I'll quit.

Don't you know ? Everything is pointless .... except his personal experience, that is factual :D

Thats right Max, act with the maturity of a 10 year old and refuse to accept someone else's opinions they have based on actual factual usage of the products, and then insult them.

i'm really not a big fan of massive screened phones! i like to be able to use a phone with just one hand!

also im not sure whether id like the sleep/wake button to be moved to the side

If apple is coming out with 2 bigger sizes I dont see them keeping the 4.0 around. 5s will still be for sale but I don't see them making a 4.0 iphone 6.

The power button on the side makes sense. With the phone size increasing it will be harder to reach at the top.

They will keep the 5s around and unveil the new larger iPhone. That way they have 2 models with 2 different screen sizes just like now. IF and its a big IF, they unveil an even larger phone, they either will release it later on, or consider it a new product line (think what Samsung did with the note line) but apple isn't going to release both 4.7&5.5 at same time. They want to get as many sales for both as possible. Don't want another 5c debacle in terms of poor sales compared to expectations

This design is really growing on me. I'd be happy with it, it looks quite beautiful.

And it's nice that they can make the screen bigger and follow the "one hand use" idea they've always had, yet also opening an option for people that don't care about that idea and just want a bigger screen.

People seem to think it can only be one or another. Why not both?

The smaller one would work fine as the successor to the iPhone 5c, but making the successor to the 5s look like that would be stupid and lose Apple tons of business. The metal/glass iPhones, especially the 5 and 5s, look the most elegant and beautiful, the designs shown in this article look like the phones Apple markets towards younger audiences with smaller wallets.

Haha believe me, nobody is going to let them sweep it under the rug unnoticed. People will hate on Apple no matter what they do. But I would expect more from Apple than to be stubborn and never change.

Apple never said the only way to use an iPhone was with one hand. They thought that was something that most people value, and while a lot do, it is unnecessary for many people to control with only one hand. So now they are going to take a crack at a bigger device.

People will cry out and make a stink about it and say that Apple is doomed as they always do, but Apple is gonna break records with this next set of iPhones.

:rolleyes:nobody is going to care what they said in the past.Their going to release a bigger phone and people will buy it.You think Tim Cook is going to get crossed examined at the key note with his past statements?

Only people who are going to care is people on the internet trying to play gotcha.

Some people have trouble letting go of what Steve wanted at the time. Like competitors and what customers want don't ever change.

To be honest since the first iPhone I had, I very rarely used it one handed. I've always typed using both my thumbs.

Go back and read your prior comments. You choose to ignore the opinions of others, but we are supposed to listen to your opinions and treat them as fact? Hahaha...

Agreed. Furthermore, marketing can only promote what is available. Have a small phone? Promote that it can be used one-handed easily.

When a bigger phone debuts how about getting an actor with huge hands to promote one-handed use? I think any basketball player would fit. :D
