I was just thinking about that... I have a feeling the phone we see in September will be pretty similar!

I have a question, though, how does a comment get to negative upvotes? I didn't know that was possible.

Interesting video but why do folks always show the iPhone 6 size by laying it over a 5/5S, hiding the smaller phone - we get that it's bigger. Instead, lay down the new iPhone 6 front panel/mockup/whatever, put a 5S on top, and line them up on two edges, and then shoot a picture straight down, showing exactly how far the 6 sticks out from under the 5S. I sort of get a pretty good idea from this video, since you can see through most of the 6's front panel, but... Pretty please?

These two videos are the closest to what you're looking for... Not directly top down, but they still give you an idea.

And with new transparency effects, making OS interface almost disappear.

Actually. iOS is there in full effect.

But you can't see it in the video as you have to be wearing iGlasses to be able to view it, as it's broadcast to one of the lenses as a HUD :D

One handed is so 2010.

Using it one eyed using just your pupil and your iGlasses is where it's at! :p

More importantly, it's too light. Feels like low quality junk. Hoping the 6 gains a little heft, but it's Apple, so I expect their missteps will continue.

This is quite literally the stupidest comment I've ever read on this forum.

You think making the iPhone 5 lighter than the 4S is a misstep by Apple?

Newsflash - 99% of people aren't dumb enough to agree with you, and prefer lighter phones. Lighter phones also gain less kinetic energy when dropped, so they're more durable.

exactly i don't know what people expect. 5+ years everything will be super light and you have to learn how to adapt to technology. Just stupid complaints from most people really. heft does not equal a "premium feel".

Very unhelpful. Drop the dang thing on a tiled floor or a driveway....

Have you ever seen one of these? Glass breaks by concentrated force in a small area. All of this anecdotal BS about "I dropped my phone on feather pillow and it shattered." is complete garbage.

Bending is boring... hit that with a hammer and I'll be impressed.

While there is some correlation between shatter resistance and bending, I'm way more concerned about actually shatter resistance than I am flexibility. This isn't optical fiber, it's a screen, it's going to get dropped and receive a sudden impact, not a nice slow bend.

Sapphire does not bend like that, so it should be fairly certain that this is not sapphire. Gorilla Glass et al on the other hand do bend like that, so I don't really see the point here.

Try rubbing it with some sandpaper or a ceramic tile and see if it scratches. There's your answer.

lol. And I'm sure you'd prefer a Casio to a Rolex, too. After all, the Casio's lighter.

Fortunately for you, Apple now caters to the lowest common denominator. (that's you, in case it wasn't clear. ha)

Um, really? I don't think that was necessary.

I don't disagree with your opinion about the weight of the iPhone 5. It seems to be at a good weight for me. I would probably be happy if it got a little lighter, but it's already light enough that I'm more concerned about other things and wouldn't want the phone to be lighter if it meant a tradeoff elsewhere like with the battery. I also know that I'm probably in very rare company when I say that I'd actually like the phone to be a little thicker. I have pretty big hands and these wafer thin phones are getting a bit hard for me to grasp.

The perfect weight and shape for any object depends on what the owner and what the owner does with it. And some people do indeed associate heft with build quality and for good reason too, because in our mass produced world, a lot of low end stuff is light not because a building of engineers used advanced polymers and alloys to create a super strong device that's also very light, but because the manufacturer skimped as much as possible on materials and pressed the case out of very inexpensive plastic.

You have a valid point, but so does Scooby.
