I have had a 6 plus 64gb Spacegrey since launch, today I decided to get the normal 64gb 6. I really enjoy being able to use my phone one handed. The Plus was was amazing, battery, screen, camera, etc.. But for my needs the 6 will do. Now just time to sell my factory unlocked 6plus to recoup the costs of the 6.

For me, once I got past the attempts to use it exactly like my 3,4 and 5S that I had before, I really started to like it! And no kidding, the screen is beautiful!

For me one handed use is important lesser of a factor than being able to sit down comfortably with the phone in my pocket. I made a cardboard cut out of both, and with the 6+, I couldn't sit down comfortably.

Sure, I could change my wardrobe and start wearing cargo pants exclusively, but that would be silly. I am an adult and I am not going to let a phone dictates my fashion.

Her Usage is very light, so we have same battery life.
The only time I felt the iPhone 6+ was big was while trying to do a one hand operation while in a car. I this keep frequently used programs in the bottom two rows. I drive an Acura Adv with lane keeping Assist, so it is not a big issue.

How does the battery life on your wife's 6 compare to yours 6 Plus?

Does that car also brake for you to stop you from rear ending someone? Where I live it's illegal to drive while operating a phone.

I have driven while responding to a text in the past, but I the fact is it's really dangerous so I don't do it anymore. Sure,I tell myself that I am a really good multitasker for playing sports sports where I have to keep track of multiple players and making split decisions so it's probably OK 80% of the time but I don't really want to take that risk anymore whether it's illegal or not.

I dunno. Maybe click on one of the 6,000 6 or 6 plus threads. This is why I can't read this forum any longer.

I think iPhone 6 be suitable for women and iPhone 6 plus for men.

I'm a women with small hands and use the 6 plus. Due to the design (rounded corners) I find it a lot easier to use than my previous Galaxy notes. I keep it in my purse so I don't have to worry about it fitting in my pocket. However I've found that it does fit in the pocket of both of my winter coats.

I have the terrible habit of using the iPhone one-handed while driving my car. Perhaps an iPhone 6 Plus would prevent me from keeping it...

Using an iphone 6 plus in car is very difficult unless you have huge hands. it was almost the deal breaker for me bu ended up keeping it because using it outside the car is such a pleasantry.

Based on your usage and needs, I would get the 6 plus. I too was concerned about the size but after a day I got used to it. Great phone, the screen size makes a huge difference as well as battery life. I don't see myself going back.

Just for my 2 cents, went through the same process and ended up with 6 plus and couldn't be happier. For me, the screen size and battery life are more than worth any size issues.

I used to carry around multiple battery chargers due to the horrible battery life on my 5s. I realized this past week, that I have basically stopped using them when I'm out and around on a daily basis, because I just don't need them anymore. That's an awesome change. I can go out with 20% battery at night to dinner for a few hours and be fine. With my 5S I could barely make it TO the dinner before it would be about dead.

I have two other brothers that both went through the same decision tree, really struggling to decide. One got the plus and is happy as a clam, the other got the regular 6 and after about a month has already decided he should have gotten the plus. He needed that time to get used to the size of the 6 and then realize that the plus would be fine.

If you have only one choice, I would say get the Plus. But it's really a difference choice for everybody, pending what they value more.

I've notice a lot of women choosing the 6 plus. I keep my phone in my bag, so pocketability isn't an issue. I have small hands and wouldn't be able to use the 6 one-handed anyway, so the size makes little difference.

At first, I thought I would get the 6, but the more I read reviews, the more I realized the downsides of the 6 plus mostly only apply to men.

I'm a woman with the 6 plus (recommended to me by a woman friend.) She keeps hers in her purse. I keep mine in my back pocket.

My hands aren't large, but I do have long fingers.

Fixed it for you. :D

The 6+ fits fine in regular jeans (I wear Wranglers and there's plenty of room in the front pockets for my 6+). I take it out of the pocket when I'm driving, sitting down, etc., but I've always done that. Even my iPhone 5 wasn't comfortable in the front pocket when sitting down.

I don't find the 6+ uncomfortable to handle, but I've got big hands. There are some things that are hard to do one-handed, but I don't find it a bother - if I'm sitting around playing with my phone, I usually have both hands free anyways and if I don't have both hands free, I probably shouldn't be messing with it. The extra battery life and larger/easier to read screen are well worth the tradeoff in size to me, but obviously there's no "one size fits all" answer as to which phone is best for everybody.

I went from a 5 to a 6+. Woowaah! I don't have to hunt around for reading glasses half as much as I did before and when I use it as a GPS/MP3 player, it is awesome because I don't where reading glasses when I drive. I charge every other day and speak to text so 1 handed texting is not a problem.
We lost power last week in a snow storm and I watched a netflix movie one night and it ran flawlessly and with quality earbuds sounded great!

What a screen... I always take my phone out of my back pocket when I sit anyway so size really is a non-issue.

i used to have the 6 and i noticed that i always take it out of my pocket when i sit so it also make sense for me to just get the 6+ - and so i did. the only drawback to me in having a 6+ is the one handed calling, which i seldom do. i mostly text two handed with my 5 before so not a big deal to me with the 6+. i always have to remember that my iPhone 6+ is at my back pocket as i can't slide it in my front pocket which what i always do with my 5S.

I think women should be more comfortable with the 6 plus because they kept it in their purse and stuff. Guys just have to squeeze into front or back pocket. I like using it one hand when im driving so i chose the 6.

Bigger battery is good but just like my Ipad. U just go crazy and try to finish off the battery because its so good and u dont even need to do nothing on ur phone. Its annoying.

Perhaps you should get the 6+, then you won't be tempted to use your phone while driving...

I think the 6 plus is a better device in every way (better camera, easier to read, easier to view videos, longer battery), except portability. The naked 6+ doesn't seem that cumbersome. I've found that it becomes cumbersome with what case one puts it in. So if size is a concern in a way, I'd take that case with you (yeah, I know, you're buying the case before the phone but hopefully you can return it if you choose not to go with the 6+), when you go to the store and see how it feels to you in that case.

I think the iPad mini is a better device in every way except for portability, camera, and making calls. :)

Yes, the 6+ is really a wonderful device. I would on many occasions take the 6 over the 6+ for one handed reading. About the camera, the only difference between the 6 and 6+ is Optical image stabilization which I think is really useful for video capturing, but much less so for stills. Why? As a photographer I have used cameras with many high end lenses. Optical image stabilization is more helpful at longer focal length than the short lenses in the iPhone. That is the reason you don't see Canon or Nikon making wide angle stabilized lenses.

Yes, it does. It has both adaptive cruise control (maintains same gap with front vehicle) and also has Collision mitigation braking, which means it will slam the break for me if the driver is inattentive and a collision is imminent. Regarding texts, I can see that on my screen through blue tooth as and when it comes, and I can respond by voice command too.

She told me she charges only once in two days. So clearly for light usage on her 6, she gets same battery life as my heavier usage on the 6+.

I've got 6+, but I still operate my phone while driving (only in slow traffic though, 20kph and below).

And I feel safe doing it because I rely on Mercedes's lane keeping function, pedestrian detection and automatic braking (works for pedestrians and vehicles).

Sorry, but that's just stupid. No system is infallible and you never know when someone else is going to do something crazy. Both eyes need to be on the road all the time. It only takes seconds for a tragedy to happen.

Well so far, it's never happened, and keep in mind that I only do this in slow-moving traffic, bumper to bumper.

Anything more than that, and I use CarPlay.
