I got the 6 Plus. Yesterday purchased the Silver color, I didn't like it, I went back to Apple store today and exchanged it for Space Gray. I do have the Gold 6 Plus as well but I can't really decide. Ugh. As of now, Space Gray looks nice.

I do have 14 days, so if I don't like it I will return it and stick with my Gold. If I like the SG, then I'll end up selling the Gold 6 Plus.

The poll results are fascinating. Apple based their production resource allocation in part on Samsung's numbers for the Galaxy S5 vs. the Galaxy Note. It runs between 3:1 and 4:1 for SGS5:G-Note. This poll for the iPhone 6/6+ confirms what we have seen in overall iPhone sales - the huge 6+ is way more popular that Apple imagined. Apple underestimated the pent up demand among iPhone users (and for potential switchers) for bigger screens. This looks like a dam bursting.

----------

I initially pre-ordered the 6+, but I ordered late morning on 9/12 and got a shipping date of 10/24. This gave me plenty of time to visit Apple and Verizon stores and play with the demo units. It became clear to me that for my usage the regular 6 was a better fit. So I called Verizon CS and changed my pre-order to from 6+ to 6, and I got the device almost two weeks ago.

Looks like a great future for the iPhone Plus
What do you think about the next iPhone Plus?

Makes sense that most people on this forum got the plus since we're apple fanatics. Interesting if the poll remains at the plus. I'm female so I can carry it in a bag and a fan so it made sense I got the plus. Glad I waited to see the phone in person first or I think I would have pre-ordered the reg 6. Now I just have to wait for my plus....grrrr.

Sitting here waiting for my salon appt and the plus would be perfect now. I have my mini out now it seems a little too large for a 15 min wait.

I got the 6. For the amount of discussion dedicated to the 6+, it's still no where as popular as the normal 6. :apple:

That poll is probably a bit out of sync with a wider population. I think i read somewhere that 6+ makes up about 20% of the total iPhone 6 sales. Might just be a forum post or something, so i don't have any credible source.

But if its anywhere near this, that would explain why my order is taking so ****ing long

6 plus sales represent around 20% of all Iphone sales. Regular 6 sales are about 65%. Old phones eg 5s. Around 15%.

You might see more 6 plus votes here because this is an enthusiast forum.

A non representative sample, I think thats the term ;)

And enthusiast wants bigger smartphones? :D

i got the 6 using it for 10days until they have the 6+ in stock.
I think I like the weight on my iPhone 5 though maybe the lightness just feels a bit flimsy to me

The 6.

A phone I need to take out of my pocket just to tie my shoe laces is too big for me so no 6+. The 6 is near perfect. Probably my favorite iphone ever.

Had the 6plus from launch date but returned it for a 6 as the 6 plus was just to big for my every day work phone, I uograde every year so next year I may get the 6S plus and keep the 6 as my work phone

I got the 6+ because I've always wanted an iPhone with a larger screen. I have large hands so the size of it is perfect. It's good for playing my games, taking photos, watching my extensive movie collection and web browsing without my eyes watering. I've had the 3G, 4, and the 5 so I was quite excited at having the opportunity to get this one. I just hope that Apple continues to work on optimizing the software and that they *ask* developers to support the 6+ screen resolution on some of the older apps.

6+ has a better display, better camera and much better battery life. Enthusiast choice would be to get the 6+. MacRumors is a site full of Apple nerds, real world consensus could be totally different.

But most of users want a great display, a great camera and a great battery life.

Poll should have the 5C and 5S since both are being sold. I just got done taking with an Apple Associate - Assistant Manager today; and he was surprise that the 5S has had such demand. So are iPhone 6, 6+ are exchanging it for the 5S!

If both the iPhone 6s had the same technology in them; people would definitely chose the 4.7" model. But they are buying based on better hardware in the plus. I like to know why Apple crippled the iPhone 6 and improved the camera, screen and battery to create the plus!

For example Apple gives the iPhone 6 Plus a bigger battery, because there's more space for a bigger battery.

For all intents and purposes they do have "the same technology" in them. The primary differences (screen and battery) are related to physical size, so you're not really making much sense. The 6 isn't "crippled," it's just a little smaller.

The 6 plus has, supposedly, a superior camera, but I read somewhere the screen gets laggy at times.
