People will buy it no matter what. This is good for AAPL holders.

Personally for me to spend over £1000 (it will probably be more like £900 here in UK) it had better have some great features! the iPad doesn't even cost that much.

Just to clarify i agree that it sounds a bit too far fetched, i just wondered on peoples opinions, would you still buy it? does a 5.5" interest you that much?
personally i'm going to wait and see what the 4.7" is like and hopefully at the same time the 5.5" will be announced even if its not released at the same time. I would prefer the choice even if i didn't buy the 5.5"

it's the 4.7" for me at $749 (32GB Unlocked). OMG! Am i just $250 away from a 5.5? Decisions, Decisions… :D

I almost want to believe this 1000 pricing for the 5.5 considering that the pricing for the 4.7 will be 649, 749, 849 respectively. Maybe, it will be 749, 849, 949 for the 5.5 if that's the case.

I'm confused. That article says a 16GB model will be 'around $1285' in China. Is this USD or AUD (not that it makes much difference; AUD 1285 = USD 1200)?

Regardless, people are happy enough to stump up USD 849 for the top end 5s; I really don't think it's a great leap to USD 999 for a stupidly large 6s, and presumably new sub 5.5" models will continue to be available.

People are buying the current 64 gb iPhones for $850.00 tax not included.. I don't think people that pay this much already will affect them to pay the additional $150.00...

Where did you get that the 4.7" would start at $749 and not $649? I have seen people speculate, but I have seen no hard evidence to support that.

The 4.7'' will be at the same price point as the 5s and the 5.5'' will be 100$ more.

I've just seen this, a report that claims the iPhone phablet version which is said to be 5.5" will cost over $1000  if true and its a BIG IF, what do you guys think?

Just all rumors. Apple must be laughing at the stupid threads in this forum.

People here are already claiming which size they will be buying before we really know what sizes there will be!

It is a long way till fall!

I didn't say it was true, i was just wondering about opinions, personally i don't think it is true and hope its not, means having to pay out less money when i buy the iPhone 6.
I doubt Apple reads threads in forums, if they do they probably love the attention :D

After thinking about it and that we pay $850 for a 5S, the price is probly right and even over for the 128gb Cellular model

Ignoring the article, its not totally out of the realm of possibility.

If there are in fact two models (4.7 and 5.5 for example). And if there is a 128gb model.

So assume the 5.5 model is 100 more. The high end model currently is 850 usd so thats 950 for the 5.5 model and if 128 gb is offered thats 1050 usd before tax a warranty like AppleCare+ which I'd definitely want on a thousand dollar phone lol....

I can probably see it for a 128gb, 5.5" model with Sapphire glass. But still seems a bit pricey. I paid £629 here in the UK for a 32GB iPhone 5S. But yes if I was to get a phone that was over £900 I would get AppleCare+ plus I would want to keep it for 2 years rather than upgrading every year.
