real thing

See? Close enough.

Your comparison of an M4 render and an actual M3 as "close enough" amuse me. Clearly you can't tell the difference, but I can, and it starts with them being completely different M cars, the M4 being a coupe and the M3 a sedan. So, no, not close enough for me.

Nice size, however I'm too sold on those curvy edges so far!... Still, the extended battery life is what I think matters the most, and let's hope Apple has resolved the issue with this new iPhone.

Thinness...and form factor

Considering that the phone is getting bigger, and that circuit components get smaller over time, and that batteries are 3-dimensional objects. Would it be so preposterous to maybe think that the battery capacity will increase enough to give an overall net increase to its usable time? Has anyone compared the actual inner dimensions? Smaller depth doesn't mean that all of the dimensions are smaller. It's just means the battery is possible thinner, but I'm sure will have an increase in the other dimensions. I love what apple makes for us :apple:

the model shows the power button now located on the top right hand side of the device

1. The model doesn't have a power button notch, or at last I can't tell from the video/pics.

2. The location of the power button on the iPhone has always been on the top right. I guess you meant top left?

They mean on the side of the phone not the top.

Apple is losing market share because cheaper phones from other manufacturers have improved so much, they are a viable cheaper alternative.
Apple's move? make it thinner, and increase the price by $100... go figure.

They haven't made their move... just wait and see.

$100 price increase? Oh yea that will help with sales...

That likely won't happen. Probably was talked about for maybe an hour but then decided it wasn't worth it. If Samsung and HTC can do it, so can Apple... even with their already high margins.

My guess of the iPhone 6 (4.7" model) looking like an iPhone 5C writ large is probably pretty close to the truth.

Why? Because this keeps the manufacturing costs down, because the current case design of the iPhone 5S is quite expensive on a per phone basis and would make the 4.7" iPhone too expensive to manufacture if they scaled up the iPhone 5S design.

That white model looks really sexy. Kind of like a 5c but as thin as the iPod 5...

Working with plastic is a lot different than with aluminum. They'll have to purchase new equipment regardless.

The work they've done with the iPad Air (shrinking the battery while keeping battery life the same if not even better) will show through with this iPhone.. can't wait to see what the say on the release day.

Holy *****, how tall would that be? Looks enormous compared to other 4.7" phones.

Did anyone see these photos? I did not see these anywhere on MR. Found them on the site nowhereelse.fr.

It does seem to be the 4.7. It does not look all that big in the person's hand. I was thinking about holding out for the 5.5 inch model myself. The iPhone 5 is the first iPhone that I held onto for over a year. I am ready for a new one. I will be getting whatever iPhone 6 comes out first.

Holy smokes! That is gorgeous. Great find, queue write ups in 5, 4, 3...

Throw some Apple and FCC branding on that baby and I would say that is the same 4.7" iPhone 6 we see in store on launch day!

So basically, it's just thinner. No doubt we'll see someone from Apple try and pull off a poor imitation of a Steve Jobs type launch.. telling us 'you just have to hold it' and using words like 'incredible' and 'years ahead'... but basically its just thinner. No curved glass, no edge to edge display, nothing everyone else isn't already doing. If this mock up is accurate, then what a shame...

Yes. Then people will ridicule it to no end, Apple will be doomed and the iPhone 6 will break all sales records to date.

Makes me think that there will be an iPhone 6 in metal and an iPhone 6c in various plastic colours.

M4/M3 are based off of the same thing. M4 was rendered using the 4er concept coupe.

M3 and M4 have the exact same S55B30 engine, the exact same everything, minus the doors. The F80 and F82 were publically released at the same time, and can be seen together at every auto show.

When the Bimmerpost community were interested in the cars themselves, they cared about /both/ the M3 and M4, viewing them as almost the same g-damn thing. Are you also trying to say that the E90M and E92M differed past the cf roof and doors?

Spare me. I'm on my 5th Bimmer. 435 M Sport next year -- Euro delivery -- 3rd one, 2nd at BMW Welt. I know my Bimmers. M3 and M4 are not the same. The latter has more aggressive body panels. But even the pics you showed the flaring in the rear of the M4 render was quite noticeable compared to the actual M3, which was my point about fan renders vs the real thing. You proved my point.

As for engines...engines? That's not really any mystery even in camo anymore than what proc the iPhone 6 will. No one was talking specs. anyway.

Ok, for a second...assume BMW didn't decide to **** up their entire naming strategy (e82 1->f22 2, e92 3->f32 4). So, if one was the M3, and the other was the M3...

I also was not referring to the fender flares. If fender flares are your things, go for a 991 c4 or tts. I was mostly referring to front bumper design...the object that most render-ers were trying to guess from the camo. Since we all knew that it was going to have fender flares. And we all know renderers will do anything to make their renders look more aggressive/pretty, like the crazy stanced F87s we've seen so far.

Engine was in question...do you follow the forums? There was a debate over whether they'd keep N/A (early stages of dev), a V6 (rumored) vs an i-6, etc.

Also just for reference -

F80 and F82 have the same: car length, wheelbase, front track, and rear track.
F80 is wider by 0.3inches or 7mm.

Glad you're moving over to a 435i mpaket. Enjoy it. Tbh, I'll be sticking with the E90 and its S65, but the new F80 is certainly very nice, especially that initial user reviews say that the steering is perfect and not at all like the light eps of the f30/2.

edit: you do know f30/32 differ no more than e90/e92 right? if anything, they differ less.

I don't care about thin I want battery life

Keep it the same thickness as the iphone 5 and use the extra space for more battery.

I put mine in an Otterbox so I don't see the "Thinness" opposite of Thickness, anyway.

BATTERY LIFE Sucks!!!!
