If there's a price increase it will be for the 5.5 inch model of course. Trust if samsung can get away with 100 more for the Note Apple surely can.

The Iphone will always have larger bezels because of the home button which is universally loved as of now.

I agree this is not a premium looking phone (granted it's a rumour and a mockup). However, one might argue this simple design is a welcome departure from Apple's sometimes form over function approach.

the design is clean and if done with the correct materials it will sell like hot cakes

The recent stats released by a researcher show Apple doing the best in Japan .... and guess how much the iPhone 5s is in Japan (since last year)? $0 with contract.

Apple's financials are for worldwide sales so carving out a single market is meaningless. Is the avg price worldwide of an iPhone 5S $0? No. So your argument is misplaced. Most people that own an iPhone are choosing to pay a premium for it over an Android phone.

But if you must single out Japan, was iPhone doing poorly there before it was offered for free? No. In fact iPhone 4S sales doubled year over year during Q2 2012 (http://www.theverge.com/2012/4/24/2972284/apple-q2-earnings-ipad-sales-iphone-mac). Design, not price, (http://www.thestreet.com/story/12685002/1/why-japan-loves-the-iphone-5s.html) is the reason the iPhone in Japan is popular. The $0 price is the result of local carrier competition not iPhone vs Android.

...

On Att's website, the note 3 is $725 for the 32GB model. There is no 16GB model Note 3. On Apple's website, the iPhone 5s is $650 for the 16GB model and $750 for the 32GB model.

Looks like this is based on the iPhone 5c(heap) design. No thanks. I'll wait for the 5.5" higher end variant.

Who gives a **** how thin it is... Does that make it look better when it has to sit in its dock charging three times a day?

If you're having to charge your phone once every 5 hours then I'd say you're using it too much.

one thing I'll miss if these are accurate is the round volume buttons. I really hate those thin long buttons that every other phone has. I know there's not room really for the traditional round ones on mockups like this but that's one of those things that makes iPhone stand out. Plus, aren't they all about circles lately?..

The music on that video was like traveling in Pandaria but then got SO annoying that I couldn't even make it to the end of the video.. Terrible terrible music choice..

I literally bought every single iPhone version except iPhone 4 and 5S but my iPhone 5 will be the last one if they put anything less than 3000mAh battery in it. Looking how thin that mock up is, I'll probably be buying a LG G3 or that One Plus One device.. Very disappointed Apple.. :(

I swear, I bet some guy at MR is sitting on the computer 24/7 clicking the refresh button on google search looking for "iPhone 6 Mockups or Renderings."

MR, WE GET IT ALREADY.

Thinness is good for pocketability of a larger phone. Which makes me wish for a smaller phone in the first place.

I'd like more battery life for GPS usage, which is recording my tracks while sitting in my pocket with the screen off.

Two observations.

1. It amazes me that people can get their panties in a bundle over a mock-up based on a rumor. I know this is a rumor site, so I'm expecting rumors. What I'm surprised at is that people act like a rumor is a fact and then go completely spastic.

2. I would hate to be Apple right now. If the phone looks like the 5 it will be "what happened to can't innovate anymore my ass." If it looks different it will be "look who's coping now."

I don't know if they've just taken the details of the Touch and then just made a 4.7" version of it because there only seems to be the one speaker grill at the bottom.

Or maybe thats the route they are going now.

It looks a lot larger than I expected, but when I look at that iP6 case video and it looks to be the same size as my N5, then maybe I shouldn't worry about it...

Perhaps but by the same token, we saw too many bent iPhone 5 threads, so evidently they didn't think too hard on this issue (at least with the iPhone 5)

Were I an Apple designer, one of the first things I'd do when the prerelease prototypes roll off the line would be to beat it against stuff. No machine driven stress tests, no wind tunnels, nothing high tech whatsoever. Just the phone, my hands, and the edge of a desk. Maybe even occasionally a wall.

Why did they choose this music in the video ?

Reminds me of "Crouching Tiger, Hidden dragon"

All though the video i was waiting the guy to speak,

If this is true mockup, no round buttons i can see.

Death to the round buttons !! :)

Still think Apple should make a 4 and 5 inch iPhone 6. That will please the most amount of people with only 2 sizes IMO.

When the actual iPhone 6 is released it will be beautiful and receive rave reviews as always. Further, iOS 8 will incrementally build on the major advance that was iOS7. It will sell more than any iPhone in history.

What is unknown is what happens to the 5S. Will it be retained, or as is my guess, become the 5SC?

I still think the 5.5 inch device will not be sold as an iPhone, but as an iPod XL or iPad nano with optional LTE and phone app. It will be announced/released at an iPad/iPod event in October.

Like many others have said, I couldn't care less about it getting even thinner. I do like the rounded edges but there comes a time when the thing is just too thin. I'd much rather have a larger battery in a thicker case.

A battery case could achieve that.
