I swear, I bet some guy at MR is sitting on the computer 24/7 clicking the refresh button on google search looking for "iPhone 6 Mockups or Renderings."

MR, WE GET IT ALREADY.

I'm not sure you do. MR is not looking for any mockups. It's 'producing' them. ;)

Yeah sounds like this video was taped at a chinese buffet.

Surely the use of asian music must mean the video is legit. After all iPhones are made China.

Soooooooooo...

Is it safe to say yet that the new iPhone will look exactly like the Samsung Galaxy that came out 3 yrs ago?

Yes. Sadly, the best we can hope for is for Jony I've to copy some better competitors. The iPhone design has grown incredibly stale under his watch.

:apple:

Based on an anonomous 3rd party's perception of Apple's alleged schematics. Sure. :roll eyes:

Have you ever seen a real "next gen" test car from any manufactures when it's dressed up in the b/w camo? Looking back when the car is officially announced it looks very little like the car all disguised and most of the "fantasy" renders based on the camoed car to either.

It's a well known fact that all Foxconn factories have the Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon soundtrack on loop 24 hours a day, 6 days a week. The one day they don't is Wednesdays, when, for reasons as of yet unknown, they throw on the Footloose soundtrack (it's weird because you'd think they'd play that on a Sunday).

Who gives a **** how thin it is... Does that make it look better when it has to sit in its dock charging three times a day?

I wouldn't know, since I magically am able to charge my iPhone and at night make it through the whole day.

Maybe the 7 hours of battery life with continuous use is actually ACCURATE and if you use it constantly for the first 7 hours of the day it will need charging....

Well I guess that's the scary thing. In the past the mockups looked really different and sleek.

The actual product ends up looking like the previous model, big bezel and all.

The recent stats released by a researcher show Apple doing the best in Japan .... and guess how much the iPhone 5s is in Japan (since last year)? $0 with contract.

Yeah well Docomo just came into the picture and they aggressively marketed the iPhone to get people who switched to AU and SoftBank. I'm on AU now, switched from SoftBank when the 5 came out. But later this year I will switch to Docomo. They cost more, but they have the best cell service in Japan.

EDIT: Also, great point, as my fiancé last year got a green iPhone 5C for free from Docomo! Just remembered that!

Apple is losing market share because cheaper phones from other manufacturers have improved so much, they are a viable cheaper alternative.
Apple's move? make it thinner, and increase the price by $100... go figure.

The real reason is they don't care, they're not in the "cheap" phone game. Cheap phones don't make money. Apple is going up-market after people who have money and won't care about another $100.

To put it simply, it's $100 more expensive spread over roughly the 2 years most people will use the phone. On top of this, the phones will most likely resell for another $100 more than they currently do.

I have not actually ever had a net payment for my iPhones. I buy it for $200 and when I upgrade I resell my old one. If you jailbreak and factory unlock you can even sell it for more than what you paid for it. I made ~$150 on my iPhone 4S by selling it for $350 when I upgraded to my iPhone 5S.

All in all, Apple has a %50 increase in their profit on iPhones (if not more) and consumers won't really care.

Match It Up

Everything looks great, big win for Apple, but why cant they have the antenna breaks on the side line up with top and bottom of the screen? Bugged me since the iPhone 4.

People are getting really good at making mock iphones....but whats the pount, they dont function...why would u do this as a hobby, go build ships in a bottle or something.

thanks for the laugh & truth

What are you doing with your phone?

My 5s easily lasts me all day, sometimes even 2.

It sounds like I'm in the minority here, but I definitely wouldn't mind having a thinner phone.

No, but it' a good bet someone's about to lay a big plate of Sushi on that table and the iphone mock is just a place/stand for the Wasabi ;)

At this point who the f cares? I know I'm at a site that deals with Mac Rumors - hence the name but enough already. Give us real news, I hate all this speculation. Especially when at this rate, the damn thing won't even come out until the fall and even then it'll be another several months before we can easily walk in a store and get the damn thing.

Yes I'm sure they have "real news" that they're just holding back to annoy you. This is better than nothing, and if it's not to you then you have no reason to be on a rumors site.

For the people that are complaining about the rounded edges & bezels.. What shape DO you want?

Oh god, WHY?!

Because an ultra thin phone is crucial to satisfy three of Apples top priorities.

1) Bragging rights
2) Indulge their vanity
3) Approach jewelry status

Conversely, in real world use amongst smartphone users that do a substantial amount of work while traveling, I'm aware of a very large number of people with a strong desire to purchase a 5.5" iPhone. It could be 10mm +/- thick to accommodate a substantial battery and sell for $100 to $150 more than the current model.

I travel internationally, passing through nearly every major metropolitan airport worldwide, the number of Android's in the hands of travelers alone is staggering.

If Apple should follow through with the rumored 5.5" model as soon as possible, I'm certain they would sell more than even they could imagine.

It's simple really. The huge number of 5" to 5.7" Androids in use today is_not_because_ they're inexpensive. It's because having a spacious display is a huge advantage.
