"I screwed up by not paying attention, and when something bad came of it I hollered and yelled because it wasn't my fault! UPS is mean, nd they hurt my feelings!".

Is that what you were trying to say? I say stop acting like an infant and be a man. Good day to you, sir, good day.

I dont see it that way at all. I explained the circumstances and I'd bet you wouldnt have done anything any differently than I generating the shipment. I'd also wager you'd feel a lot different than you prenently do if you were treated the same way. Thanks for attacking me personally though. Regardless, I hope you never get swindled. Also, thanks for the good wishes. I hope you have a great weekend yourself.

Final Resolution- I got a confirmation from Apple that my replacement phone was shipped today to be delivered on Monday. Thankfully, I'm in the office all day on Monday and I will stall the UPS guy with a can of coke while I open the box this time, LOl!

OP: I hope that everything goes smoothly for your delivery.

I happen to have a viewpoint that is opposite to those of many here regarding UPS. The thing is, the UPS driver that has delivered our packages for several years is a good, trusted family friend. He's a nice guy, and I trust him fully.

FedEx, on the other hand, has a buch of idiots for drivers. Once they backed off our driveway and into the nice grass, and another time I caught them throwing a package (luckily it was only clothes, but a total douchebag. Wasn't even around a holiday/crazy busy time)

Funny, I know people who work for both fedex and ups.......and in my situation, my opinions are the complete opposite of yours. The fedex employees are great, the ups ones I know are complete dousche bags. The moral here, don't paint everyone with the same brush just bc of your personal experiences...... It makes you look naive.

I'm surprised everyone is hating on UPS....I had the same UPS driver for years but lately I've gotten different drivers be they are all great. Fedex's delivery times are never even close to correct, they can never get my address right, have delivered to the wrong house at least 3 times and their white trucks are no where near as cool as the UPS truck :p Is certainly a region based thing.

I'm an attorney and I personally got it from the ups driver at the front desk because I saw her truck. Funny thing is that she shook the box as she placed it on the ledge as if she suspected a weight problem and she commented that "someone's getting a phone".

I had a busy day so I took the box into my office and put it on my desk until I had time to open it. I had custody of the box all the time and My staff could not and would not have stolen it.
Apparently, the drivers and other Ups staff know the content of the box based on her comment.
Hmm your a lawyer you might be able to tell me but wouldn't tampering with a package (especially an interstate package) be a federal felony? I'd contact your districts US Attorney's office on who to report it to....US Postal Inspectors might actually investigate it so maybe try calling them? I'd hate to let some thug get a free phone, at least not without being blessed with a federal felony :p

Great! Just goes to show how awesome Apple can be....of the few times I've gotten a never delivered or tampered situation its always been a pain with other companies to get a replacement.

3 Years ago I ordered a Special Value gold bracelet for my "From Myself to Myself" Xmas present / I had been looking at for awhile and had it shipped to my office

The receptionist saw me going to lunch and summoned me over to retrieve my package / I grabbed it and As I was walking out the door with my lunch co workers I began to open the package until my Director said dont open it - and pointed to an opening in the package no larger than a 1 inch

My bracelet was not in the package anymore just the jewelry box - QVC refunded my money because the bracelet was sold out and it has never been restocked again - Some UPS employee got my bracelet ###

OP I am glad it worked out better for you with your replacement being in stock

I've never had a problem with UPS. That said, it is sad that there are dishonest employees there (and every other business), I hope you get this resolved soon, OP.

I always open expensive packages while the delivery guy is still there just in case. Especially cell phones which are like the no.1 mail fraud/theft items.

That's a good idea but when having items shipped to your job not always possible as you're nut always the person to accept it.

UPS does a good job where I am. While FEDEX is sloppy at best leaving packages without a signature claiming they have a 'signature release' nobody in my household signed a 'signature Release'
Bottom Line: it's all about the Driver Like any job it's the individual doing the job that makes the experience good or bad. So if you have a $95000 a year driver that has a good relationship in the neighborhood his job is easier also
