iPhone 6 Plus Makes Owning an iPad Air/Mini Redundant -- Who's with Me?

So I'm running with a 6+ and iPad Air 1 currently. I love everything about it. But sometimes I lust for the portability of the 6. So I am pondering switching to a 6 and an iPad Mini 3. Anyone using this combo currently that can chime in on their feelings on this?

I have a 6+ and an iPad Air 2. The plus does not replace my iPad. I guess it's all about what you use them for but I like to read magazines and reading on the iPad makes for a much better experience. Not all my subscriptions are available on the iPhone.

I think it needs to hit the 6" screen size before it can realistically replace a tablet.

Before I got the 6+ I was thinking about getting a mini iPad. Not anymore. Maybe I will get an Air at some point but also have a macbook pro so not sure how and iPad will really fit in with my workflow now that I have a 6+. Very happy with it.
