I ordered a gray 128gb 6+ at 12:05 am PST on 9/12... Via ATT Premier... after the dust settled later that morning, I had a ship window of 10/13-22. Today for most of the day it showed "backorder" and now it's back to 10/13-22 and "preparing to ship" again.

I know that in the end, we pay close to the same price whether it be contractual or outright, but I don't know that I could ever drop $1000 on a phone all at once. And this is coming from a guy who always 'needs' the latest and greatest. It's just kind of shocking to see the price displayed in full like that, haha.

I pre ordered 2 128GB iPhone 6 Plus's, Gold and Space Gray from Apple Store App around 3:30am EST and got 7-10 day, Oct 1 - 6 Delivery.
I just called apple customer service and the guy said he can't do anything about the arrival date but he can upgrade my shipping for free to NEXT DAY SHIPPING. So when ever it does ship, it gets there quicker.
Doing so changed my Delivery date from Oct 1-6 to Sept 29-Oct 2nd

When did you start your order? My confirmation email arrived at 3:31ET and I'm in the "Ship 7-10 Days" group. I have the exact same setup on AT&T and also ordered through Apple App.
Ordered 2 of them through Apple, both preparing for shipment to be delivered on 9/19.

Mine is expected Oct. 1-6 (7-10 business days), still is processing, has not charged my bank yet, I do not have tracking yet available, and it's not listed as one of my products on my Apple support profile yet.

I will be in heaven having my iphone 6 Plus JB with all my hacks installed. Really looking forward it to and hope they dont take 5-6 months to get a JB released.

Maybe line up at Apple and hope for the best and if lucky just cancel the online preorder.
well at least this year we have multiple teams working on jailbreaks probably so we hopefully will see an 8.0.x jailbreak fairly soon. good and bad i guess.

I'd like to see a JB sooner compared to how long we waited with the iPhone 5.

Since I will be out of town with my wife and kids in Orlando at Disney World starting the 18th, I selected in store pick up. I've arranged for another family member that's also on our AT&T bill to pick it up for me. I might not be able to play with my iPhone 6 plus until the 2nd of October since I go straight to San Francisco for the Oracle Open World conference after vacation.
