That's the only way they could since the screen curves on all sides. Will look like crap if it only covers the uncurved section. My main reason for a screen protector is to reduce fingerprints. Maybe the screen will be less fingerprint attractive. I'm not holding my breath though.

that is the only reason i want a screen protector as well. Because the oleophobic coating will wear off in 3-6 months. I usually go with ghost armour, but I'm hearing that glass screen protectors are better

Glass screen protectors are way better. I have a spigen glass tr on my 5s and the simple spigen HD screen protector on the Nexus, and former feels exactly like an iPhone screen. One can really appreciate this when playing a game or so. There is really no comparison in the quality. Only drawback of the glass screen protectors is that they can crack if dropped and since this is a glass the crack would reflect light and be easily seen. Happened to me with the Mime USA glass SP, but so far the spigen one has held for over 6 months.

BTW, i got an email from spigen amazon today that my order (placed on 13th of september) has been delayed and will ship out on the 30th. I guess they are seeing a huge demand given the price is only 12-15$ for a product that until last year used to be in the high 30's.

I got a shipping confirmation last night from Zagg for my two iPhone 6 Plus Glass protectors, shipped out first class mail.

I agree about the glass protectors. The only problem now is with the new curved edges on the iphone. If they can't produce a glass screen protector with the curved edges, then it will not cover the edges and likely not remain on the screen very well. Plus swiping will become more of a pain. I have a feeling that the first run will not cover the entire screen, just like all of the plastic screen protectors coming out for the 6 right now. Unfortunately, they have yet to develop any curved glass screen protectors, and most who have other devices with curved edges had to settle for wet application type of protectors.
