In no way did I do that... I said likely most of those that ARE bent are unnoticed. Where in my statement did I quantify how many are bent?? I didn't. I can't possibly know that and neither can anyone else here.

Welcome back.

So, it's a pointless "point," right? An "un-noticed bend" is a non-data point. Nothing but rank speculation that can't be backed up in any way, shape or form, begging the question: why even bring it into the discussion? "If an iPhone bends in the forest and no one is there to pitch a fit about it on the Internet..."

Non-data point TO YOU. You might also call a stuck pixel a non-data point. Or a piece of dust under the glass a non-data point. Most non-techies would never even seen these things. But it is there to those who notice it and want high quality for the price.

Edit: and by YOU I mean you and Apple (as you are truly one in the same). Apple could care less if they make cheap phones that twist and bend. They just look at the return rate and profits. And some of you white knights must be major stockholders because that is all you seem to care about as well.

Mine isn't bent but does get twisted. What I mean is that if I place the phone, even in its case, on a flat surface, I can rock it back and forth on diagonally opposite corners. I can unwarp/untwist the phone by gently holding and pulling each corner down with my hands. It comes back if I put the phone in my front pants pocket or pocket where there might be movement. It doesn't bother me but it does show how malleable the chassis of the 6+ is. Oh and my wife's OnePlus One is the exact same way.

wait, say that again

Hanging an argument on "un-noticed bends" is simply rediculous. Sorry. It just is. Accusing me of being a "white knight," of being "one in the same with Apple" and speculating that people who disagree with you must be "major stockholders" is nothing but smoke screen throwing. I doubt you'd resort to that if your argument was strong enough to stand on its own. "Un-noticed bends" is not a strong argument. It's gossamer. An undefinable, unprovable, un-demonstrable non-point point.

Surf you're wasting way too much breath with that guy. All he knows how to do is insult when he has a pointless losing argument, as some others have done as well. I'm willing to bet some of these people secretely meliciously wish your iPhone would bend. Oh and believe me when I tell you that someone here did wish that upon me. The mindset of some individuals here seriously need an attitude adjustment along with attacking people for not going along on the ride with the others that are trying very hard to hammer this dead horse. Much of it is nothing but hyperbole anyway. ;)

A good solution to this whole thing: make the iPhone's shell out of titanium.

I calculated it out just for the sake of running down a thought, and you'd be looking at a ≤1 oz. increase in weight and about a $20-30 increase in manufacturing cost. In return, you'd have a massive increase in strength, to the tune of needing to have the weight of a grown man on it to deform it, and more to break it.

Pair that with sapphire glass and you've got the iPhone 6I. I for (practically) indestructible.

The only downside would be Steve Jobs wouldn't be around to go "it's the stuff they make spyplanes out of!" like with the PowerBook G4 unveiling. :D

Surf does this phone bend in a pocket or not? . I think I the evidence is it does and is lower quality that Apple needs to improve. You don't seem to believe this or care. That is complete brand loyalty blindness to me. So what is in it for you to keep arguing that it is such a perfect phone?

Right back at you surf. Prove to me it doesn't bend. Prove to me that every phone out there is perfectly straight.

"In a pocket" is a place, not a how. Anything can bend in any place. The question isn't where phones bend but HOW they bend.

The rest of your post is a straw man. I never argued that the phones are perfect. I never claimed to not believe that they get bent. I never claimed that Apple couldn't or shouldn't make them more durable. Your comment about what I believe in and care about is speculation and your accusation of brand loyalty to the point of blindness is not rebuttal, it's dodging via personal insult. As to your question, I'm not arguing that the phone is perfect so there's nothing in it for me. I'm just amusing myself on the board.

I never claimed either of those things so no, I won't be doing that.

So we agree then on the phone topic. The rest is just arguing semantics. Not a fedora wearer and not going to do that. Glad we are in agreement though. I always knew you were a good person under your forum ego.

wait, say that again

It's true. It doesn't take much to twist the iPhone 6. On the bright side, it also doesn't take much force to twist it right back so it will lay flat again. A few pounds at most, nothing scary. *shrug* Doesn't seem to affect the phone's function any, and I have Applecare+ so I'm not obsessing over it. I do find the flaws in my screen (looks like something went awry when the oleophobic coating was applied) to be irritating, but it's only visible with the screen off, so I'm not motivated to try and get a replacement. I've had every iPhone except for the 3G and this is the first one that 1) had any build flaws or 2) has a flimsy design. Everyone else babbled on about rattling buttons, yellow screens, etc, but I got lucky. Guess my turn finally came. :apple:

[MOD NOTE]
Looks like this thread has devolved into bickering and arguing at this point. Closing.
