iPhone 6 Plus too big?

I would actually argue that it's too small. If I'm going to own a gadget that makes it necessary for me to carry around a purse, I might as well use a tablet. I've tried using my husband's 7" Kindle Fire and the thing is useless for any kind of productivity work, so a 5.5" screen would be even worse. If Apple boosted the specs for the iPad Air/iPad Mini to be on par with the iPhone AND they decided to add a phone, I'd be all over that thing. Instead, I ordered the 4.7" model; if I can't have productivity, I'd rather have portability.

If portability is #1 then why get a 4.7" when there is a 4" model available? Your argument has a few holes.

Sorry you were forced to settle.

I'd rather wait the extra 3 weeks than settle, but still unhappy that others who were trying to order online at the exact same time as I was didn't have to wait 3 extra weeks. That's just wrong. It's not the wait but the unfair way some people managed to beat the system.

I don't know that it was intentional. AT&T systems went up before the website, the iOS app went up before the full web site and seemed like availability was very sporadic. One second it would say a particular model was unavailable then the next it would show some shipping times. If anything, I blame Apple. By now they should have enough capacity to handle millions of simultaneous hits to their databases.

Agreed!

I would have preferred a 4" iPhone 6, but unfortunately, Apple didn't make one.

I didn't wish to purchase a phone that's already a year old and would thus have one less year of iOS support. Plus I wouldn't get to enjoy some of the other new features (e.g. Apple Pay, improved camera, etc). The 5S would be three years old by the time I'm eligible for another upgrade. Not to mention that once the trade-in is processed for my old phone, I'll be getting a phone with double the storage capacity for nearly the same price.

Anyway, portability is only #1 if a device is too small for productivity. Since both the 6 and 6+ are too small for productivity, I decided to go with the smaller of the two options. I have my fingers crossed that the extra 0.7" won't turn the 6 into a purse only device, and I'm holding onto my 4S until I've confirmed that to be the case.

Too close to iPad mini.

Did you forget the /s ?

They're not even in the same class!

Just look at his hand with the thumb and pointer finger, then look at your hand with the thumb and pointer finger flat and not curved up...you're holding a iPad mini in your hands...and won't fit in your pockets. If you wear form fitting pants/jeans that thing will look mighty funny in your pants...yes!

Post thought, remember how everything is cyclical? What's the over/under on number of year until people are craving smaller devices? I'm setting the line at 3yrs, basically iPhone 7s launch. lol!

It's huge. Reminds me of the Android phablets. Which is why I'm going for the 4.7.
