Apple Pay is the beginning. Not too far behind that will be Apple Loan where we can buy Apple stuff at Apple pricing for only $XX per month, auto-billed to the credit card attached to iTunes or multiple cards associated with Apple Pay. Getting the consumer interest is much more lucrative than getting a cut of a fee as they will with every transaction in Apple Pay. It's only a matter of time.

I'm only half kidding here. ;)

Pre order online tonight / early tomorrow get the phone in the mall on the 19th. Or go to store tomorrow which is the 12th pay for the phone and get it on the 19th

How much is left on your eip? Or my note 3 I only owe 90 so I paid it off today. I own it out right and can upgrade for the 6 tonight

That is what happen in previous releases. Is Verizon also unlocked? How does it work? Traveling from UK to NYC the 19th for business and pleasure, so I thought that I can pre-book one tonight and walk over to the flagship and pick it up the 19th or 20th.

You know JUMP also provides the insurance for the phone to. Just an FYI.

OMG, if this really works... you saved me from going into line.

Every year, I try to preorder... and then I end up waiting in line.

I'm still on my parents bill because I don't want to lose my grandfathered unlimited plan. But his house is 350 miles away from me!
 
How does the ATT trade in work?

Does anyone know how the ATT trade in works? Can I do that online or do I have to take my phone to a store on launch day?

That's what I assumed, but no official word on where on the 12th the Pre-orders start like ATT and VZ have mentioned (12:01am PST).

I'm pretty sure I preordered a 5s T-Mobile last year at 12am PDT, so not sure what you're talking about...

I'm going to try ordering through Apple and AT&T. I'm paying full price so if I can get through to Apple I have to get the T-Mobile phone and hope it's not locked. Worst case scenario I'll head over to the AT&T early next Friday morning.

That's two Fridays with little to no sleep though. Ugh.

I contacted apple today about this very question- I was told the T-Mo one was locked to that carrier. Why even try through Apple and not just directly with AT&T?
 
Question for other countries (specifically UK): what time can we preorder? From midnight where we are or another time? How does it normally happen?

Haha! Oh yes! Thickness wise it's well over twice as thick. My thinking was - if I can ride / walk / sit about with THIS lump in my pocket, then that skinny phone should be fine.

The outcome was that it's actually fine! I was quite surprised. The biggest deal is that the top of the phone will be right up at the mouth of most pockets. Just gotta be a bit more one the ball in situations where pick-pockets are about I guess.

Still, it told me enough that I reckon I'll give phablet territory a crack...
 
I'd love to preorder an iPhone 6 since i have an upgrade, but I'm also grandfathered on unlimited data. While it'd suck to give up unlimited (The hell I'm shelling out almost $1000 for a decent capacity iPhone), verizon seems to only allow for share everything data options online whenever I try to look up upgrade options (I'm also part of a grandfathered family plan), yet my mother was able to obtain the 6gb maxx promo data plan.

No I'm just saying that you might not be able to pre-book the T-mobile version tonight. I really hope that the Apple Store support is wrong with this.
 
You will never get through at 3am or 12 midnight.. best bet is 5am timeframe.. when I got my 5 pre-order in.. West went bed and east isn't up yet.

I was in the exact same situation on the launch of the iPhone 4S. I pre-ordered on the Apple Online store, which forced me to use my parents' AT&T account address. Immediately after completing my order, I just went in and changed their address to MY address. I had no problems at all with doing it in the past, so I'm sure it'll work this year. ....At least I hope so, because I'm in the same situation again this year, so I'll be doing the same!
