I'm interested to see how they tweak the OS to handle unintentional touches on the edge of the screen.
They already added this a while back. With the release of the iPad Mini I believe......

I just dont get fanatical Samsung fans who come here simply to bash Apple? Its like Dunkin Doughnuts driving through a Krispy Kreme drive through window and tossing their stale dunking doughnuts through the drive through window while exclaiming they are better but the mere fact they go so far to profess they are superiority and the victims of Apples copyright infringements, whilst at a KK drive through, is almost like that crazy chicken nugget lady viral video where is no logic for her melt down.
A report last month from The Wall Street Journal claimed that the iPhone 6 "won't include a curved display", but it is possible that both reports could be correct if the design were to include a flat display panel fused to glass (or sapphire) cover that curved at the edges.
If it is truly bezel free, how could you put a decent case on it without covering up part of the screen??
i hope it is also wider .. i don't want a really tall 5 inch screen like the 5s is
To my eye the mockups most closely resemble the HTC One. I like the minimal bezel and would buy the iPhone 6 if it matched the 4.7" mockup but the 5.5" is way too big in my opinion.
A piece of curved sapphire would be expensive. (Domed sapphire watch crystals cost a lot. Most are flat.)
Remember, sapphire has to be sliced, and then ground and polished. Grinding a curve is extra work and cost
(This is the same reason why I dissed the prediction that there would be a convex sapphire Home button over the fingerprint sensor. It's a lot easier and cheaper to simply use a flat slice.)
But it would be cool if it did have one.

THIS is a very good question. I was getting ready to say I liked the idea of a the phone without a bezel. Now with this one argument I am conflicted.
The Moto X seems to have a thinner bezel but its actually just an illusion because it is tapered. but I could see the iphone 6 going this way
I say no way there are two new sizes. They may be testing both right now, but I don't believe for a second they're going to release both. And I really hope it's the 4.7 because 5.5" is way too big for a phone.
If Apple makes the iPhone bigger we have officially no serious phone makers left, and there's finally room for new companies to become the best one in the industry. But I like Apple, so I hope they pull their **** together and realize that making the phone bigger doesn't ****ing make it better. I can't believe they're following the other companies after years of setting the bar where they want it themselves.
The 5S is RIGHT on the edge of being too big. I have big hands (and a big penis) and I still think the 5S is uncomfortable. If they make an ever bigger phone I will actually be really sad, having a world with no great phone design would actually make me REALLY sad
Apple must remember their most valuable demographic: Culture hipsters. Whether you like it or not, they are opinion leaders (not the kind of hipster that Samsung is making fun of in their commercials, I'm talking people in VICE etc), if the phones bigger, Apple starts appealing to nerds who like board games, hats and computer programming. Probably nice people, but not the people Apple should try to reach.
If they manage to make a bazel free design, I hope they use this as an opportunity to make the phone smaller while maintaining the current displaysize, and NOT making it bigger.
It's too big and heavy for a PHONE. It needs to fit nicely in my pocket...5.5" is way too big for this! My 4" iPhone 5 is perfect. I might put up with a slightly larger phone, but only slightly (4.3" or so), if it's slightly bigger but slimmer or takes up same space. The perfect size for a smartphone is a relative thing. 5.5" is hardly too big to put upside your head to talk into.
